    There is a clue.
In our western society we want everything - but we do not want to be confronted with negative outputs. Everything should be convenient.
    But - life is different.
I think we should never forget to think about what we are doing. We live a great life with many conveniences. But there is also the other side, all those things we are innocent about.
We all (and that's my opinion) could be more careful, caring about ourselves and those living with us - trying to find out how much things we are using (incl. eating ...) would harm us, maybe in a very subtle way, within a longer period ...

Interesting, I've always felt at "one" with electronics and technology.

        Ancient arts modern technology

I notice that if I have had my phone in my pocket all day, by the end of the day there is a lasting presence on my thigh, once I have removed the phone.
This maybe from pressure or radiation, but a few minutes into my practise the sensation is gone.

        Best Wishes,
        Steve.

            Hi Jas,

I have not tried that comparison.

              Dear Jas,
Having a phone but leaving it off kind of negates the purpose wouldn't you say? I haven't had a chance to delve into the world of mobile phone radiation reducing devices but my gut feeling says the solution lies that way.

Here is a video I saw today, it isn't about about radiation exactly but about another innovation that could make offices a more healthy and chi filled place to be in. In India people are working out systems of plants that can be used to filter air and create oxygen indoors and some systems have already been put into place.

I came across this documentary related to frequencies and how they affect humans and animals. It's an interesting film, here is the link

As with anything potentially harmful, Safety First should be primary. My recommendation:
                      1. minimise exposure
                      2. practice high level Chi Kung to reduce effects of exposure and help reverse any negative effects already experienced
                      3. use protection products (but only ones proven to work --- there is a lot of rubbish out there)
Thank you Andrew : by the way do you have any experience with "Pulsors" http://pulsor.org/ahtml/1Welcome.html ?

EMR from natural ( eg thunderstorm & lightning ) or manmade sources ( electrical pylon , power substation etc ) is also to be avoided during chi kung practise as advised by Sifu .

I have no experience with the Pulsors. However, the principle of their function is very similar to the products I use. There are now numerous similar products available on the market. Strangely enough, the majority of them do actually work to a certain degree.

There are still plenty of untested and unproven as well as completely non-functional products out there though.

I sent Sifu an email asking him essentially the same question 2 or 3 years ago after reading an article talking about the big plans companies had for wireless electricity (you've probably seen the wireless charging mats for small devices... this article was about how you could power an entire home with a larger scale version of that). Anyway, Sifu never replied. Which I usually take as a sign from the universe not to worry about it

Still, it's an interesting topic. And I've read articles about early wimax (like super powered long range wifi) experiments that left townsfolk with terrible migraines and bloody noses whenever they switched it on. So there's obviously something not so awesome to this stuff.

Kinda tough to completely escape it though. I pick up seven other wifi signals in my house besides my own router. And if you live in a big apartment building it's way worse. And that's not even looking at just regular cell tower signals, wimax, etc. And I heard in an interview today that the big "solution" to congested mobile data networks is to get people to plug in boxes in their house that will shoot a signal out onto the street that passersby can piggy back off of vs. getting data directly through the cell network. No idea what kind of signal that will be haha.

Luckily my chi shield just reflects it. I heard frolicking barefoot in the forest helps, too

I think these kind of terrible adverse effects speak for themselves. If someone put a factory in the middle of a town that had a huge smokestack burning toxic fumes then people would definitely be up in arms about it. I view this kind of radiation caused by certain towers in the same way, it is an invisible 'attack' on people's health by private business interests that will profit. Like any attack it needs to be defended against by the whole community.

Bouncing things off with a chi shield is a possibility for some but what about the children, the old, people with less defences? They cannot be blamed that their bodies do not have the means to deal with this radiation. I think it is good to cultivate spiritually, but for some issues one needs to be a part of a wider social change by participating in some activism.

They must have worked some of the kinks out of wimax because it's in most cities now, and there don't seem to be the same extreme effects as those initial tests.

Which in a way is part of the problem, I think. If the negative effects of any of these things were extreme it would be obvious to get rid of them. Instead, we have all these new technologies and lifestyle changes happening that each have slow building, subtle negative effects on us. So there isn't a lot of distinct, clear evidence that makes it obvious or allows us to point the finger at any particular thing (or at least, nothing that's a slap in the face and gets people's attention). Unfortunately, when combined together and spread out over many years they result in a lot of serious problems.

I appreciate you starting the conversation and reminding me about this stuff. I found an earthing mat I think I'm going to try out:

High-quality clean coffee tested for toxins and functional mix-ins—crafted for flavor, performance, and purity with uncompromising standards.

I have a lot of fun testing out different "bio hacks" like this

I also downloaded an on/off wifi toggle app for my phone. You can just click the app icon to turn your phone's wifi on and off (I never turn mine off because I have to click through a bunch of screens to get there). Bonus: I can save my battery life.

If you want to (electrically) earth yourself when inside a building, just hold a part of a metallic water tap (fawcet) or unpainted part of a radiator or plugged in (and earthed ) electrical appliance. No need to buy a mat for that

You can also consider a professional solution used by electronic engineers and technicians all over the world. An earthing bracelet!

It consists of a simple elastic conducting bracelet which is connected to an earthing wire. This wire is simply plugged into the EARTH pin of any normal wall socket. I bought one when I was building a computer for my son (to avoid destroying the sensitive electronic components). It cost me less than 5 USD including shipment from Hong Kong
