I learned for the first time 'flicking fingers' and 'lifting body' at Brighton. My main focus at this time is 'generating an energy flow'. But I do want to do some occasional force training with these two exercises. However I'm not completely confident in my memory of the instructions. How shall I proceed?
If you are going to practice Sinew Metamorphosis, the most important instruction is not to be overly worried about the instructions.
Don't create mental tension by worrying whether Sifu said to keep the mouth open or closed at a specific point. You can review the finer details and deepen your practice later by repeating the course. For now, just practice the exercises to the best of your ability, stay relaxed, and enjoy your practice. Actually, just enjoy your practice, and the rest will fall into place.
Tom,
For a reminder, you can check out the instructions for Finger Flicking in The Art of Chi-kung, and the instructions for Lifting Body in The Complete Book of Shaolin.
