Real Taijiquan fighting
My first post in this thread was a joke, but this clip here shows some truly excellent applications used in a real tournament.
For the benefit of those who don't understand Mandarin, the exponent in red is the son of Wang Xian, one of the Four Warriors of Chen Taijiquan. The other is a Zhaobao practitioner.
See how effortlessly he applies his Kao and felling techniques, but some ignorant fools posting their comments think it was fake. Anyone who has any experience of the internal arts at all will recognise how it is being used. Notice the stances being used and the whole body movement.百德以孝为先

This is indeed a good video. The exponent in the red shows some excellent examples of combat application and skills.
There is a big gap in skill between the two though.
Thanks for posting this.George / Юра

Both were better than...
Both videos were a lot better than the infamous White Crane vs. Tai Chi fight.
I recently read Sigung's Complete Tai Chi Book, and seeing the second video, revelations are abound...it gives me hope that Taijiquan can be used in combat efficiently. I definitely saw Rolling back,Warding off, Single whip, Repulse Monkey, and Side kick(?),Fisherman casts net(I think). correct me if I am wrong. I'm also trying to look and the red man's waist and I thought I saw him moving it first or with unity of all other body parts used. He also did push off with the back leg(so much that he stood on his frong leg only for a few instances). Sigung's book is so informative...I couldn't see these movements without it.Handsome Bear Andrew
If you want to soar to the heights and reach the depths of Kung Fu, you must practice Chi Kung; if you want to soar to the heights and reach the depths of Chi Kung, you must practice meditation.
