    Allo Allo Pilot episode

    Mike <3 Youtube

I love this site you can find anything on it. Here I present to you one of the finest comedies ever made. If you are British or European theres a good chance you've already seen it, not sure about you Yanks and the rest of the world tho

Anyway its called Allo Allo its a British comedy about a Nazi-occupied French town during World War II. This show has many memorable charachters and catchphrases which you might have heard over the years but had no idea where they come from (for example "Listen very carefully...I shall say this only once" by Michelle-of-the-Resistance )

Ok enough sales pitch from me here are the vids (oh and if you like these look around a bit there are many more)

    Part1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Part 4

        Kung Fu vs Korean Kickboxing

        Dear friends,

I've been looking for videos with Kung Fu vs different fighting disciplines. In most of the videos that have turned up the Kung Fu practitioner doesn't seem to be doing Kung Fu as taught by Shaolin Wahnam, they tend to bounce around in boxing style rather than being in solid stances, and these Kung Fu practitioners seem to invariably lose! (For example the kung fu vs Royce Gracie clip).

I have found one small clip that I love (perhaps this clip has already been discussed in the forum elsewhere?).

It seems to be a fantastic example of containing the opponent attacks (as I saw in the Kung Fu versus Boxing videos on Sigung's site). The Kung Fu practitioner seems to conserve his energy using his stances, moving only when needed, compared to the bouncing of his opponent. Perhaps someone could describe his style/technique - I'm guessing he's using a northern style due to his flowing movement and use of kicks.

Does anyone know who's in the video and whether a video of the full fight is available anywhere? Perhaps someone knows of other clips or videos (to buy perhaps) with Shaolin Kung Fu used in tournament fights.

        Best wishes,

        James.

Really, James? You found that to be a fantastic example of kung fu? I don't see it that way.

Greetings Anthony (would it be correct to say Sisok?),

Something I feel I should have also said (and I nearly did, it slipped my mind), I'm very inexperienced, literally having 3 months of exposure to Shaolin Kung Fu (aside from watching films like Shaolin Temple when I was younger). So my comments are from this position of inexperience. I'm interested to hear your dissection of the clip (and I'm happy to hear of my naiivety ). In retrospect there is an obvious flaw in the retaliation of the Kung Fu practitioner, he seems not to actually make contact!

Hi James. I'm your Sipak, I think. And yes, I understand that your experience is limited. Hopefully, you'll soon be able to see things more clearly. However, I believe there is already a thread that discusses this clip. Please do a search for "Shaolin" and "Tae Kwon Do" or "TKD" or something to that effect. Let's try not to clutter this thread.

Thank you, Sipak. I had a feeling it might have been discussed already .

I'm sure you've all come across Hai-tank before doing his one finger hand stands. In this clip he shows more actual application including sticking his finger through a sand bag!

Must go and practice one finger zen...

                    Qu'est-ce que....

Check this out! This guy makes his way on to the stage while Tool are playing and Maynard does a Judo throw on him and fully pins him for like, 2 minutes and doesn't miss a single note! I don't think it was malicious, though...even though he appeared to be choking this guy til he passed out.

                    It's tres interesting.

                        America (bleep) yeah!

Opening sequence from the hilarious Team America World Police. This is a parody of..well America really by the makers of South Park (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) and this scene really shows you what theyre all about. They destroy all the most famous monuments in Paris while hunting some terrorists with a WMD then whoop and high five a job well done. Classic stuff...

Also from the same film..sometimes North Korean leader Kim Jong Il feels ronery.. I mean lonely... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxQ660DwEtw

See, the important thing is that Kim Jong Il has a sensitive side. I_love_that_song!!!!
Also, as I said in the movie thread, the 36 Chambers of Shaolin rocks!! Any good martial arts film needs a good training montage-this movie is like one long montage.... funny, I forgot they pay homage to the montage through song in Team America too. But sadly, I'm afraid I can't find it on youtube. Guess you're all going to have to go watch it.
