Guy Pearce would have made a brilliant Joker... but don't even get me started on Spiderman3, I watched that one in utter disbelief as to how they'd managed to get that one by their producers, it was a stinker! When they made Toby McWhatsisface do that 70's 'wow chica wow wah'TM bit, walking down the street with his new bad self, I felt his pain.

But Mike! how can you call Batman a "poor man's superhero"?! You're making me want to weep into my cuppa!

Sigh....Spiderman 3. It made me totally sick. I watched it with my brother and we just kept looking at each other in disbelief! I mean c'mon!! That movie has (count them!) three dance numbers! Unbelievable.

The 70s series was pretty cool. They did their best with the effects, but obviously couldn't have spidey webslinging through the city. So we get Spiderman running everywhere! But I love how they have him scaling the empire states building for real instead of todays CGI stuntman.

Dear lady don't weep. The fact remains however that batman has no powers. This kind of takes the 'super' out of superhero and leaves him a plain hero. That's kind of what I meant to say...

Alex you legend! I LOVED the 70s spiderman tv series when I was a kid (it was repeated in the 80s), and I can't understand how its not repeated on any satellite channels today when you look at all the stuff they DO repeat!
Now yourself and youtube have saved the day, you're a bit of a superhero yourself!

I've been trying to find one particular episode where Spiderman fights this mean guy wielding a chain. The fight looked really cool because they were all in silhouette, and I can remember the cool 'swoop' noise the chain made when Spidey dodged it.
Shame he never really had any proper supervillains to fight.

Yeah why do they insist on repeating the old Adam West Batman and Bill Bixby Hulk but no Spidey?! I won't complain about Wonderwoman though.
