The next Wahnam London get-together

Yes, I know you have all been waiting for the announcement. And here it finally is - we are all going to get together in London again sometime in March.

At the last event we were massively oversubscribed with many Wahnam practitioners coming from as far as Scotland to be there. Please respond early so as not to be left out.

The idea is that this time we are going to pick a day and time that suits Mike B. (as he couldn't come to the last two and he doesn't get out much )

So, sometime in March
Mike B. needs to let us know which days of the week are best
you need to post the fact that you are coming

As, evidenced by the large Scots contingent last time these events are worth travelling for. So, those in (for instance) Brighton, Worthing, Bristol, Swansea or Gillingham will obviously be there this time. That means spaces will be limited. Reply now to book your place.

It won't of course be on the 12th or 13th as that is the Brighton Review Course!

But anyone is welcome to come down and join us all in the evenings for a meal and drink. On the Sunday we have an open class from 2-3.30pm. Why not come down for a play then stay for dinner?

Will you all be going to Sifu Brown's kung chi?

Not sure if people aren't responding because

• they haven't got around to it
• they haven't noticed it yet
• they are waiting to see if anyone else will respond
• they don't want to get-together
• they are confused about whether there will be another one soon after Huberts
• they don't like eating, drinking or convivial company
• there is actually no-one else out there in London

This list is not intended as a false example of septualistic thinking as I realise they all may be true.

It would be good to meet more people from Wahnam. All the ones I have met so far have been smiling, nice people. I can never have too many of them in my life.

I'd love to come down in March, w/e of 19/20 or 26/27 preferred, tho could do weekdays too. Free in April.
Hubert's get-together yesterday was minimal and really lovely. Am not going to start a new thread for this but I was then asked to announce here my beginner's climb-up-the-wall Chi Flow experience... Hehe Felt very casual about it, so almost didn't mention it So here you go. Try it, it's fun! Might give demonstration when we meet in March

I'm wating for suggested dates, all times are equally busy for me right now but weekends would at least avoid using up annual leave. So busy I can't write more than two sentances, I'm going to leave annoying green smilies to make up for it.

I think you need to pick a date and then see how many people can make it, don't forget Easter is early (end of March) which may or may not help

The only time I'm good for in March is the last weekend (the one after Easter). Any other time, I'm either at Uni or out of the country. After that, I'm totally free in April, but weekends would be better because I'm working awkward hours in the week.
I would love a get-together tho, and see some smiling faces

I would love to meet up with my Wahnam brothers and sisters in London. Trouble is the only day I have free is Wednesday, due to working weekends. I am in the process of changing my weekend working (looking for a new job ) until then I shall have to join Wahnam gatherings in spirit

It has been suggested that we organise something around Sije Joans course in London, which seems like a good idea. So, my suggestion is that we organise something for Saturday 16th April, in the late afternoon/evening in Ealing after the Eight Brocade course.

I am not sure if Nicky or Hubert found the venue for that course but maybe whoever knows Ealing and where the venue is could suggest a pub/coffee bar to meet in and a restaurant we could book for afterwards.

If people let us know as quickly as possible we can book a big enough table (which is often tricky on Saturday in London without a long lead time).

Joan - if you are reading this could you let the people coming on your course that this is happening.

Yes, I am reading this


I will of course mention this to both classes as I also have 'review' students coming in to the Kentish town course who may be interested.

By 'review' I mean students who have taken Chi Kung before either from Sifu or a Shaolin Wahnam instructor. Most students find practising in a group again very motivational, so anyone else who would like to join us please let me know, you are very welcome.

It was Nicky who kindly and speedily found the hall in Ealing for me. Perhaps if you email her, she may know somewhere nice for you all.
