In terms of the benefits I've gotten from Chi Kung, I feel more confident around people I don't know. I used to be very shy, but I think I have an opposing problem now. XD
I'd like to make a suggestion on this, if you don't mind. One of the ways I've stopped spending so much time on the TV, is by using a DVR. By fast forwarding through the comercials, you save almost 15 minutes per hour-slot. That adds up if you watch more than an hour of TV a day. This also has the benefit of preventing the advertisements from embedding themselves in the subconscious while in the passive TV watching mode. And just for the benefit of anyone wondering, television addiction is a real problem. Watching TV causes the same type of "high" that Heroin causes, with the added "benefit" of shutting off your pre-frontal cortex. Yay! I can't make long-term decisions AND I get a cool addiction! So, moral of the story, use a DVR in order to shorten the amount of time you spend on TV.
I ask her afterwards why she did it so quickly to which she replied she was trying to finish before one of her favourite soap on TV started, we both laughed for a while about it and it still makes me laugh every time I think about it.
