Thank you for your description and your experience. From what I've seen of the course so far - we had a one day introduction last year - it's going to be incredible. At the moment there are only Dutch students attending, a more international flavour would be even more enjoyable for everyone.
With the upcoming course I was wondering for a brief second if I wanted to participate thinking I already did the one day course... soon I remembered the energy and bright shining eyes of everybody who participated afterwards and that small doubt disappeared faster than it came...
There were a few things that clearly stuck with me from that course and in the same time I realize I must have missed out on so many things because I either simply wasn't ready to 'hear' or receive it or just the fact that there is just so much you can take in on a day.
Even more curious I am now to participate in the new 2 day course to solidify what I learned in the first course and hopefully to learn and practice some new insides.
I would like to thank Sifu Darryl for organising this course and giving us again the opportunity to learn from Sipak Piti and I'm really looking forward to see Sipak Piti and Lina again! (yeah ok, also to go for a nice rum and a long cycle through Amstedam )
Well, what to say. This time we were able to experience the full 2-day course and what a course! Lots of powerful experiences, deep realisations and life changing affirmations.
I'd like to invite the participating students to share their experiences and thoughts about the course, the skills, the techniques and the differences. I'll join in later on, after everyone else has had a chance to reflect.
I was very disappointed not to have been able to make it to Amsterdam for this course and really look forward to reading of your experiences (just to rub in my disappointment ).
Mind you, you do let me hint at part two of this discussion; when to have the next one. We'll be traveling from the simple (weekday or weekend?) to the even more simple (not clashing with any of the other big courses in the Shaolin Wahnam calendar) to the direct (exact dates).
Dear Brothers,
I had to miss this wonderful course again... although it is in my plans since 2 years already... :-((( Really looking forward to catch the next opportunity!!!
If nothing has planned yet may I suggest the beginning of November? ;-)
All the best,
Julia
I want to thank Sisook Piti and Sifu (Darryl) for organizing this course. It was awesome. I spend some time today reflecting on all we have done and it was a lot.
My energetic eyes have been opened for a completely new field of study, which I believe is extremely promising. Sisook gave us many concrete tools to apply the internal art of chi kung to enhance our daily lives.
Secondly, and more importantly, he transmitted skills that allow me to practice internal arts in any meeting, communication or other interaction, to help achieve the maximum value for all people involved.
As with the Interview series and realize, I am continuously on the lookout for the most promising and innovative approaches to life and business success. This is it!
In my opinion, anybody that has been taught the great teachings from Sigung, and against his ambition is not living like a modern day emperor or general, should not have missed this course.
For me, I would welcome Sisook to come over to Amsterdam every half year for the next five years. I’ll be there every time.
Fall 2013 is favourite for me - with the proviso that if Sifu organises a Dragon Strength Chi Circulating set course at the same time I will be on the plane to Malaysia . Otherwise, really looking forward to meeting and learning from you next year.
Darryl and I were talking about the possibility to have a good get-together with many brothers and sisters and think of good win-win pricing possibilities to have many instructors join and bring their students for a fun Scholar Weekend in Amsterdam next year...
But a UK option would also e be great - haven´t been there since I got the mumps as a teenager in Oxford...
I initially thought it would be a better use of Piti Sidai's time to have multiple courses available when he's here, and discussed it with him while he was here. I now think that one course is our best option just now.
We all get to train together, in one large group, allowing a critical mass to develop that benefits everyone time after time. This was the second time Piti Sidai taught in Amsterdam and the results were much greater. I believe this was down to two key factors; more people present and more repeat attendees.
So I'd suggest that the next one be in Amsterdam again, to take advantage of the critical mass that has already formed. Future courses could be elsewhere, ideally after participants from that country had attended to generate their own critical mass.
I'm aware that people would need to travel to attend, so I have a few suggestions.
As Piti Sidai suggested, let's hold the workshop at the weekend.
Accommodation has already been made available by many of the Dutch students, reducing costs and increasing joy.
A discount for attendees coming from abroad, to balance out their travel costs.
No conflicting dates or events within the Shaolin Wahnam calendar
This way we have an existing critical mass, a low cost-high value financial model, cross pollination within the Shaolin Wahnam family and higher attendance at all future courses. We also have a sustainable model for rotating the workshop through the other European cities.
