      Some Subtle Sense (Clocks).

Greetings to all and gratitude to so many!

To Damian, Roseline, Bernie, Joanna, Emanuel, Chun Nga and Wei Foong for your contributions, and to all the SW Students I was lucky to meet, Bernardo, Barbara, Effie, Lara, Des, Trevor, Steve, Paul, Sean, our man from Russia and all those my lacking memory fails to name! Joel, I am dumbfounded by your poetic talent, knowing you and Parveen (what a story from you, too!) is a great lesson for me. Fond memories of the red eyes of many during the course (including this writer), of time-expanding episodes in only three days (I still marvel to discover hidden interpetations, re-reading my memories) and to what is still happening due to the course. The replies in our thread are greatly rewarding and keep the magic going. We will meet again.

Since I will never equal the writing skills of many of you, my contribution can only be to persevere my study of the practice, and presently I am toying around with a notion I would like to place on the table. Since I've started practicing Shaolin Cosmos CK, I have the feeling deep down as if I suddenly have several clocks released ticking backwards, each with a different speed and timespan, days, weeks or years maybe, each leading to the solution of a "block" or problem. Another way to put it is, like, there is a fast chi, a medium chi, a slower deeper one and so on. I feel things are now going on inside, physically and otherwise, of which I was unaware. Every few days I notice some subtle sense of my self (separation is intentional) during the practice, or in the change of daily habits. This is remarkable, a bit disturbing but fascinating.

Well, this was not easy to put in words (I rewrote several times over) but here it is. I'm sorry but I need to withhold more personal feelings. Oh, and what I just exposed underlies occasional fleeting spiritual expansions, but that is an entirely different chapter.

Now, better stop looking at the text and publish!

I dedicate this to Sabah and all of you in my mind.

      A hug
      Carlo

        A (non-) Coincidence

        Hello everyone:
It is very interesting that it is late at night and I tuned into the forum just before going to sleep and found a post by Carlo I hadn't seen yet. Earlier tonight I attended the first session of a 4 week Zen Meditation class taught here in Florida by Siheng Anthony. At the start of the first practice, we were told to step into Zen. When I did that, a face of a Buddha appeared to me and he had his index finger extended. He said "Listen to Carlo". I thought I knew what this Buddha meant by that (Carlo wrote me some advice last night) BUT perhaps the Buddha meant that I need to pay attention to Carlo's thoughts which he just posted.

At any rate, I am smiling at the whole scenario, and I will listen to lots of what of Carlo has to say. Tell me/us more, Carlo!

Bernardo, IT WAS WONDERFUL TO READ ALL YOU HAD TO SAY! I loved getting to know you. And just last night, having almost finished Sifu's book, Sukhavati, I read some things Bernardo posted on mantras when I searched the forum about Sukhavati. Bernardo, I marvelled at all you know and have experienced at such a young(ish) age. Man, if I had known as a college student the stuff I know now, which is considerably less than you know, Bernardo, I can't even imagine what or who I'd be by now. Wow. Keep on smiling from that beautiful heart of yours.

Anybody heard from Eric? or from our 3 friends from Russia, outside Dubai and somewhere over there in a country I can't recall? Steven, how is your training going?

Joel, I love your poem. Thanks.

Also, Emauel was on-line last night and it was great to hear from you!!!

I wish we could re-do our same class soon. It felt like 'home' to me. I can feel my qi flow slowing down (and I haven't missed a single 2-a-day practice either). I am not happy about this. Of course, I understand this is normal, but I still don't have to like it.
I could not lie anymore so I started to call my dog "God". First he looked confused, then he started smiling, then HE EVEN DANCED! I kept at it; now he doesn't even bite. I am wondering if this might work on people?Tukaram

          A Poetry Of Chi

          Dear Joel,

This is the most beautiful piece of poetry yet coming from Shaolin Wahnam.
          Superlative.......
          Inspiring..........
          Evocative........
          Transcending...
          Happy.............
          Sad................
          Yin-Yang.........
          Everything.......

It succintly captured in words an 'event' where like-minded individuals from everywhere travelled to the 'far east', irrespective of age, race, color or creed.
All came together in a common cause, the search for "CHI"
          What could be more uniting.
Welcome to the Shaolin Wahnam Family.

As always our humble gratitude to Sifu, his heart to heart transmission, and for making the impossible possible.

PS-Reading it got me all choked up!!!

          Kind Regards to all

With a smile in our hearts and a tear in our eye,
The setting sun signals its time to say goodbye.
A family, Once separated, but then again united,
Apart again now, but eternally bonded.

Thank you All for your beautiful sharing .

Missing All of you (starting from the Graduation Dinner !) even before the speeches started to flow

              Thnx

              Barbara,

Thank you, thank you very much.

I loved getting to know you too... I even got potential free acommodation in Gainesville!

Wow. Not only have you explicitly seen the Buddha, you have also heard Him!

Thank you, you're not the first one to tell me that... but I know nothing: I just have read many sutras, but still don't know anything.

Thank you again for the dinner (or half of it),

                Emanuel,

Hi! It was very nice to meet you (even though we only talked for about one minute). Will there be a possibility that you come again to Mexico... one day?

                Regards,

                Bernardo.

Greetings to the Wahnam Family ,

It was so nice to come onto the forum and read your beautiful and inspiring posts.

Bernardo, thank you for your kind thoughts and you never know Joel and I may just write a book together in the future! Congratulations on your results at university and as Barbara has said, you are very knowledgeable and I am sure we will learn much from you as we all do from all the Wahnam family.

                  I have been reading ‘The Complete Book of Shaolin’ by Sifu Wong and it really makes you appreciate how fortunate we are to be taught such wonderful arts which were once kept a secret;

“Of the numerous living treasures derived from the Shaolin Monastery, three
stand out prominently. They are chi kung, kungfu and meditation. In the past
these Shaolin treasures were kept within the monastery walls, taught only to
privileged disciples who had proven themselves worthy of these fascinating arts.
Now you do not have to become a Shaolin monk to learn them…”

I have been meaning to post the following links below on the forum for a while. One is of ‘The Casket Sealed Dharani’; the other is ‘The Heart Sutra’ and finally a recitation of ‘Namo Amitoufo’. They have helped me so much and every day I recite the words to help clear my mind and fill my heart with joy, along with my Chi Kung practise. I am sure most of you have heard or seen them, but I feel it is only right to share these wonderful links with you:

I miss you all dearly and I send warm wishes to you all.

                  Kind Regards,

                  Parveen
“So I say to you –
This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:”

                  “Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.”

“So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”

                  Thus spoke Buddha.

It took my a while to post on this thread, but here I am finally here :P

Even though I said this in the Welcoming Dinner and Graduation Dinner in Sabah, I cannot say this enough to express how thankful I am!

Thank you Sifu, Damien, the whole Kissey family, everyone who made the June 2008 Chi Kung course possible! It was AMAZING! I'd also like to thank everyone I meet on the course. I never thought I could be so comfortable and feel so welcome as I did meeting all of you!

I am still amazed at when all the people that came on the "Arrival Day" were sitting having dinner at the restaurant, I swear it's like we all knew each other from before. We were all so open and happy and joyful! Laughing, joking and at the same time getting to know each other.

I say it again, this Chi Kung course has been the best experience on my life!

Since getting back I have never felt better in my life. Everyday I feel the zest that Sifu talks about, I take time to smell the air, gaze into the sky and feel the energy flow within me and just take in life and feel great to be alive!

Also, thank you for posting those pictures Barbra. Weirdly enough that was like the first time I ever really had a true smile since I can remember. I believe it was Michael who told me to just smile and stop thinking if it looks good or bad, and I did for the first time!

Congratulations Parveen and Joel! I wish the best for the both of you in the future!

Thanks for posting those Youtube video's Parveen! In particular the last one was amazing. I don't know what about it, but when I listened to it, it sent a warm-chill (If that makes sense) down my spine and relaxed me and filled me with Joy.

Anyways, this message could last a good while if I don't stop somewhere, lol.

                        Best Wishes,
                        Steven

                          Thank you Bernie,
Yes it did take some time for me figure out how to access the forum and post replies there.
No need to address us as Mr. or Madam, I know I am old (don;t have guts to call my wife "old") but just Yazdi would suffice.
Thanks to you and the Kissey Family, for showing us a wonderful time in Sabah

                          regards
