Oh, scarey... first post
Dear all
I still struggle to find the words to express how I feel about those few days of QiGong in Sabah. A simple thank you to the cosmos is a good start... and what gorgeous manifestations there were, that came together at that time. I am honoured to have witnessed catharsis, transformations and revelations. It was a beautiful, gentle few days of unmitigated joy sharing an essence with just about all of the people there.
Seeing the courage and trials that so many of you have lived with and then hearing some of the testimonials at the graduation dinner was quietly awe-inspiring. As much as I was humbled by the speeches, it was good old-fashioned gut-wrenching fear that prevented me from taking a turn. Now, I am letting it go.
I was introduced to Shaolin Cosmos QiGong in December 2005, when Sifu did a weekend introduction in Melbourne, Australia. I was in deep grief at the time from the death of my mother a year earlier. Sifu Jeffrey then invited us to join him in regular QiGong sessions (and then he offered us Taijiquan classes shortly after). Two years of training under the tutelage of Sifu Jeff helped open up much, through what might have otherwise been turgid times. This year I needed to work alone to continue to challenge the emotional and psychic hurt. Sabah was an opportunity to share in the power of opening up to the light together. The chi flowed like gushing waterfalls, but I wasn't quite ready for the subtleties of the refined energy work of a golden shower.
Now, many weeks after returning from Sabah, I seem to have, at last, become ready to taste a breakthrough. A glimpse of satori, after 45 years of prodding round the edges, knowing something special was inside, the first cracks of light have truly shone through. My path has been lit and there are many joyous travails to follow. In a few days, I return to Malaysia, this time for Sifu's intensive Taijiquan course for some martial forging.
I have been touched by many of the beautiful entries on this Sabah QiGong thread. I look forward to staying in contact with the many good souls that I met there.
love
Michael
