    Dear Andrew!

Having had the great opportunity to learn from Sifu (Grandmaster Wong) is definitely an honor and a privilege. But as Sifu Markus recommends, the second best alternative is to follow up with the great regional instructors in your area - all of them are also great healers and their advice will be very beneficial for your independent practice.

Then, this Virtual Kwoon will be an additional tool for you to count on.

    Good practice!

Hi Sifu Piti, thanks for chiming in, and sorry for my slow reply. I just wanted to add that Sifu Anthony isn't quite in my area--Las Vegas is much too far for me to commute there regularly, unless I could afford continual flights in and out of California. Do you think I would benefit much from a short visit of a few days?

Hi everyone, I haven't made a special visit to Vegas, but it seems I will be seeing Sifu Anthony along with Grandmaster Wong and many of you at the November 13th 18-Lohan Arts course in Long Beach. I registered, and the check is in the mail. I hope this visit will give me the feedback and aid that I need to get back to health in the near future.

To date, I still have problems with my voice. My throat is dry and sore. My eyes have actually become dry and sore as well. This is not due to any allergy which I have been confirmed to possess, and I was tested for allergies recently. I am living where I have been for more than twenty years.

All doctor-advised tests to determine my problem have revealed nothing or been inconclusive. Medication has made little difference. Please wish me luck in dealing with this mysterious and bizarre problem! I aspire to, in the near future, be able to wear contacts and shout loudly again!

Update! I attended the 18-Lohan Arts seminar and dinner last month. Some of you might remember my violent coughing in chi flow! I talked to Sifu Wong briefly about my throat and he encouraged me to practice more devoutly, as I had been missing daily sessions. He also expressed confidence that Lifting the Sky is more than awesome enough to deal with whatever I've got.

Since coming back home last year there have been weeks where I have not practiced, and weeks where I miss a few practice sessions, for a variety of reasons. I have been practicing more consistently than not, but Sifu said that if I had practiced for absolutely every day, then I would have been far healthier and more vital upon meeting him. He was very confident that if I keep doing what I've been doing, daily, I would resolve my health issues.

I have been sure not to miss a day of practice since then, though I have no fantastic changes to report. I thought many of you would like to hear Sifu's message about daily practice, however, so here it is!

I'd also like to add that it was nice seeing those of you who were at the seminar with me in November. I hope you're enjoying the new arts.
