As I said before thanks to chi kung my life has become much much better after halping my herniated disc.
I have a friend who I wish to help. He has something with cartilages in hes knees. He had surguries but he still has problems.
Are there any excercises which he could learn and do at home that could help?
He is very sceptical and laughs at me eve though I present him my results but I wish to tell him such a possibility anyway. Maybe he'll listen.
Regarding your friend, I would advise that you mention how good you feel now and that you attribute this to your Chi Kung practice. If he laughs at you then just smile, wish him all the best and carry on with your practice. Later, when you are overflowing with vitality and you have not been ill for a few years, he may come back to you with a new interest. If, on the other hand, he does show interest then I would recommend pointing him in the direction of an instructor, or if he is not yet ready for that you could lend him 'Chi Kung for Health and Vitality' by Sigung.
From personal experience, I can say that trying to persuade people or to 'sell' the Shaolin Arts will be unlikely to succeed and if you do succeed then it is unlikely the person will practice with diligence. In fact, trying to persuade someone to take up the arts may be doing them an injustice and be damaging an opportunity they may have to practice with enthusiasm in the future. In my opinion, the Shaolin arts are far, far to precious to try and sell, rather they should be offered with an open heart to those who show interest.
I am a junior so take my opinion with a pinch of salt and hopefully one of my seniors will give you theirs as well.

I totally agree Nick Siheng (hope this is right). I briefly went through a phase of trying to recruit people and quickly realised with most of them i'd be wasting their and my Sifu's time. The Shaolin Arts are just not for everyone.
Having said that i think there are a lot of people out there who would grow with the opportunity to train the Arts whether they realise it or not. 10 years ago i wouldnt have been able to stick it although i would have liked the idea
So if my health still improves I will pose as an example and in case my friends gets interested I'll let him read and ask questions by himself. Just show him where to look.
11 years ago I had condromalasia, it means my knee caps were shifted to the side, there was a lot of pain, I couldn't kneel and I had pain all day. 6 Drs/ told me I needed an operation, but the pain would come back. So I bought the books of Sifu Wong Kiew Kit and I started doing it, specially the induced flow of chi, after a year the pain went away, and I'm happy to say that I've been pain free for over more than 9 years, I can kneel and do everything. All thanks to the teachings of Sifu Wong Kiew Kit. Hope this helps.
