  • Miracle Man!

Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family and Guests,

I would like to share with you a story about my Dad.

On 12th December he became very ill and almost died. He went into severe kidney failure and doctors warned us that it did not look promising. We were all called in to the hospital on the evening of 13th December to await his passing.

That morning, I had contacted my beloved Sifu to ask for his help. He immediately sent chi to my Dad and continued to do so for many weeks. That day also, he told me that he felt that my Dad would return home and that he would visit him on the farm when he came to Ireland in February. This was 13th December!

My Dad survived the night of the 13th and miraculously his kidneys started working a little again. It was enough to enable the transfer for kidney dialysis in one of the city hospitals 60 miles away.

He went through one of the toughest weeks of his life.

He remembers being on dialysis and one night while sleeping, he remembers that he was walking through a big huge meadow. He had almost reached his destination, but the last bit of the journey was going to be the most difficult, enduring a lot of suffering. He was given the choice of turning back or continuing the journey and suffering. He felt the pull of turning back was greater, so turned and in his sleep remembers that he felt he was sitting in his favourite armchair at home, very safe.

I am not sure, if it was that night or not, but we were informed later that he had suffered a heart attack on one of the nights while in the city hospital. They also thought that they had lost him.

He returned to the local hospital after 8 days in the city hospital, just before Christmas. We stayed with him in turns, so that he was rarely left on his own. I had stopped talking with his consultant who was so negative much to the dismay of my family as I am the Nurse, and they expected that I would be the one who would understand the medical jargon the most. But each time, I would speak with him, it was always bad news, which my Dad could see on our faces. So instead, I always went in to visit and stay with him Smiling from the Heart.

During all of this time, I was in contact with Sifu, who still believed that he would come home and which gave me tremendous hope, which my Dad could feel.

To cut the story a little shorter, he was finally discharged. The medical staff wished for him to go to a Nursing Home to recuperate, but we insisted on having my Dad home, where normality reigned and good food was plentiful! He was on oxygen 16 hours a day, his breathing was still not great, but he was home, which made him so happy. Sifu was correct.

On Sunday 11th February, a week after my Dad returning home Sifu fulfilled his tremendous promise of visiting my Dad on the farm. He had been very ill the night before as he had developed a kidney infection. I will never forget, as I watched with a teary eye, Sifu’s tremendous respect and love for elderly people. He transmitted chi to him and was so so kind and generous with excellent advice.
That night my Dad slept well, but passed a lot of urine, this also continued the following day. But my sister, who is a nurse’s aid noticed that his breathing had improved. So much so that he did not need the oxygen at all or since.

On Thursday February 15th, I brought my Dad for his check up with the Consultant. We met the younger doctor who had admitted him on the first night and who remembered how bad he was. As he checked my Dad’s lungs, he looked up at my sister and I with a surprised look and said that his lungs were clear. His heart was also fine and his kidneys were back to the pre December 12th condition.

He looked with wonder at my Dad and said ‘You are one of the few miracles who pass through this place’.

I said a silent prayer of thanks to Sifu.

On the way home, my Dad was feeling so well that he asked me to take him to the barbers for a haircut. There is something very cute about an 88 year old, wishing to look his best for his wife, family and friends

He is back to reading again and telling his famous stories. He is keeping us all on our toes with one thing or another, which I will never complain about again! It is so wonderful to have him back.

I wish on his behalf and on the behalf of all our family to thank Sifu from our hearts. It is no coincidence that he has improved tremendously since Sifu’s transmission on Sunday last or that he survived the trauma of hospital transfer and dialysis.

Also thank you to all of my Shaolin Wahnam sisters and brothers who sent blessings, prayers, emails and even visited me with support. You are the most wonderful family on earth.

Many blessings to Sifu, my Wahnam Family and The Miracle Man!

    Smile from the Heart,
    Joan

        Dear Joan,

Thanks for sharing that. I'm so happy for you and your family. That situation is almost identical to my own fathers' a few years ago. To cut a long but incredible story short, he was on his death bed, Sifu transmitted Chi to him, next day he was better and left the hospital. Amazing! Many thanks to Sifu once again!

        Best wishes
