Just thought I'd mention Meir Shahar's history of the The Shaolin Monastery. Its expensive but I, for one, couldn't wait for the paperback!
Has anybody read it yet? I've only got to chapter 4 on Staff Legends, but so far its great! Its definitely an academic text, but still its an enjoyable read!
