Medical experts state that imperishable remains of senior lama of East Siberian Buddhists, Dasha-Dorjo Itigelov who died in 1927 are similar to tissues of a living man
A critical view:
It is prohibited to take photos or video of the lama dead body. The monks say this contradicts Buddhist traditions.
Also, if they say "dead body", it means that the body is not living and thus it is not immortal body (although it has still certain characteristics of a living body). You don't have to be MD to see that his body has decayed, his face is not entirely intact. I would say that "imperishable remains" or "can remain physically immortal" are too strong (=not true) expessions. Although it is a miracle, the physical body is still not "living" in the sense that I understand the meaning.
Researchers were incredibly surprised when an infrared analysis of the lama tissue samples revealed them to be absolutely resembling tissues of a living man.
