I would like to say, try it to read in English: learning by doing.
That's the same with learning Kung Fu: at first you're maybe not very comfortable with the stances. But you keep on practicing because you got an aim. And now I am quite sure that you enjoy your training more, I believe much more.
That is because you practiced, you didn't stop and went back in your old stances, no you kept on practicing the new ones, although you knew that they were harder at first.
I did it like that with the English language. And now I think my brothers and sisters understand me
