  • The Power of Now

    Greetings from Sungai Petani

Last year my Taijiquan brother Roberto recommended that I read "The Power of Now" by Eckhard Tolle. I found it to be a truly wonderful book and would like to pass on the recommendation to everyone in the Wahnam family.

It had been interesting for me to notice how this book has become a bit of a best seller and seems to be given a prominent place in many bookshops.

    Enjoy

Jeffrey my elder bother in Tai Chi

Many thanks for this recommendation - I am reading this and find much of it excellent and most compatible with the philosophical approach of Shaolin Whanma school.

For me what I liked was the simplicity, accessibility, and lack of religio-philosophical attachment (there is little of 'this is the core of Buddhism/Taoism/Christianity' etc etc). The last in particular means that it can reach a wider audience.

Having been seriously studying Buddhism for some time its very easy to get lost in a forest of detail and to forget the key principles.

If you are ready for it this book can be transformational.

    Thanks again Jeffrey.
