So, what was Zhou Yang doing with the video camera?
Why had we (myself and Elisabeth) been asked to take a seat on one of the picnic benches?

What was going on?
Well...
This video i shot on my camera shows what happened.

It is about 4.8Mb and just under a minute long.
The French guy, it turns out, was not only the disciple of shi De Cheng, but he was a teacher. Back home he had over 70 students. They were shooting this video to show his students what training was like for him while he was in Shaolin.
To me this is all wrong; it shows him dressed as a monk, training with someone dressed as a monk, in the Shaolin Temple, with no tourists about. In reality he trained in the park round the corner from Shi De Chengs training school (pictures later) dressed in a tracksuit with Shi De Cheng dressed in a tracksuit, and a load of young Chinese kids dressed in the same tracksuits.
I have photos of this, and i have one of the tracksuits, and i have photos of myself in the tracksuit (which, considering i am six foot three inches, is an amusing sight!)
