I have been meaning to post some photos from my visit to the Northern Shaolin Temple in January.
As I have a few thousand photos, i will try and edit them and post a few at a time.
Here are some to start with.

Here you can see the main gate of the Shaolin Temple. From left to right we have an unknown tourist, then a French guy dressed as a monk (another story) who was the student of the next person; Shi De Cheng. Then there is another monk, a more important one, but whos name I am unaware of, then myself, then Elisabeth. You can see the calligraphy above us that was written by the Qing Emperor Kang Xi and reads 'SHAO LIN SI'. This means Monastery in the Forest of Shaoshi Mountain.

As you walk through the gate and past the heavenly kings on the right and left you will be greeted with the a view of the 'Forest of Stone Tablets'. You can read more about the Forest of Stone Tablets in Sifu's new book Complete Book of Shaolin on page 7

If you look back from the 'Forest of Stone Tablets' at the main entrance on a clear day, and when there are no tourists in view you will see the above sight, the rear of the main gate. You can just see the heavenly kings on either side hidden behind the trees.
More pictures comming soon...
