              Buddhism-related

The Three Principal Aspects of the Path (Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism):
              - Renunciation,
              - Bodhicitta &
              - Wisdom.

The threefold division of the Noble Eightfold Path:
              - Wisdom,
              - Moral discipline &
              - Concentration.

The Three Sages of the West:
              - Amitabha Buddha (A Mi Tuo Fo),
              - Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (Guan Shr Yin Pu Sa) &
              - Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Da Shr Zhr Pu Sa).

              The three poisons:
              - Greed,
              - Hatred &
              - Ignorance.

The three evil realms of rebirth:
              - Ghosts,
              - Hells &
              - Animals.

              The Three Vehicles:
              - Hinayana,
              - Mahayana &
              - Vajrayana.

              Another interpretation of Three Vehicles:
              - Shravaka-yana,
              - Pratyekabuddha-yana &
              - Bodhisattva-yana.

I also heard this recently. A comedian was asked to describe himself in 3 words. He replied "Unable to follow instructions".

The cultivation for the Pure Land:
                          - Faith,
                          - Vows &
                          - Practice.

The three factors that shape rebirth at the time of death:
                          - Karma -- the field,
                          - Consciousness (state of mind) -- the seed &
                          - Craving (rebirth thought) -- the moisture.

                          "Om" = A + U + M

                          Om Ah Hung

                          Veni, vidi, vici.
