    Dear Rachel,

What I meant is complaint to the Supreme One, or to complain to life itself; not a complaint to our boss, friends, business partner, etc., which sometimes is not only appropriate but also necessary, something that must be done.

    Thank you for your sharing.

    With love,

    Joko

      Hi joko,

I think we can agree on this:
Accept life - work on the details.

        New born baby

Today I opened the book of Tao Te Ching, and it happened to be Chapter 10.

You will become like a new born baby.
Suddenly I found another new meaning in it. What is meant by being a new born baby?
What can we see in a new born baby?

Well, a new born baby is completely relaxed and completely surrenders! Surrender to what? Surrender to everything around him, which then means surrender to Nature.

Is it not the meaning of "wu wei"?

          Dear joko,
          Thanks for continuing this thread.

What can we see in a new born baby?
I see + feel + know love (even when my baby drives me crazy ).

How much can a baby do to us without him doing anything....

          peace and love to everyone.
          Enjoy your journeys,
          Racheli Wittert-Ashur

I was not raised Christian, so this is a bit odd coming from me. I've read the Bible, but mainly as a piece of literature. Anway, I'm familiar with the following quote, but somehow, it never meant much to me. Recently, I heard it used somewhere, and it suddenly struck me in a profound way:

Not my will, but thy will, be done.

I have struggled for a long time to translate wu wei. Those who know Chinese know that it is not easy. The above quote from the Bible is not a direct translation by any means, but somehow, I think it fits. When I heard it the other day, I immediately thought, "that's wu wei!"

Effortless. Without craving or attachment to outcome. Flowing with the cosmos. Not my will, but thy will, be done. Wu Wei.

Am I making sense to anyone?

Not my will, but thy will, be done.
Thanks for sharing your experiences Antonius Siheng. That sentence now makes a lot of sense.

                  Dear Siheng Anthony

Not my will, but thy will, be done
To open up and follow your heart

I don't completely understand it right now, but I'm sure that some years/months down the road, understanding will hit me as well, just like a flash of lightning

Not my will, but thy will, be done.

                    My will,.. thy will,....

                    Is there still a difference?

When there is no difference any more, whether it is thy will or my will, ... that is wu wei

                    Thanks,

                        wu wei is emptiness

                        Hi all

                        Wu wei is emptiness.

Everything that appears to my mind is the nature of my mind. My mind is the nature of emptiness.

                        From the heart.

                        Respectfully

                                poem

Lying face up at the stars
                                drifting in a cosmic dream
With the world at my back
                                I let go and float
                                into an infinity of possibility
                                Stretching out my arm
I pluck a dream from the sky
pulling it down into my heart
                                I smile at the thought
                                and let it slip away
Out the corner of my eye
shimmering light of my next star
                                catches my imagination
                                and carries me away
                                I'm floating down a river
Oars freed from their holes long ago
Lying face up on the floor of my vessel
                                I marvel at the stars
                                And feel my heart overflow
