As promised here is Sifu's commentary on the Flower Set sequence 3.
This is a sophisticated sequence where the Flower Set exponent gets to the back of an opponent before the opponent realizes what has happened. The Flower Set exponent attacks his opponent not just once, but continuously, but prividing adequate coverage for himself.
This set is becoming my favourite very very fast...
Thank you for the slow-mo videos! They have been extremely helpful.
While training the set I find it easy to remember the moves inside sequences, but forget the order of sequences. This leads to freezing conpletely while trying to figure out what comes next. Here is a cheat sheet poem I use to remind myself what to do next
Plant the Boss of Beauty.
Scissors may Sweep.
We fall but 1000 times we get up.
Boss of Fruits is the Phoenix.
Embrace! Open the door!
Bamboo Butterfly Jumps and Swims.
Flowers of Rocky Ground.
Tiger and Dragon Tamed.

here is Sifu's last commentary on the Flower Set. Enjoy!
The Flower Set is one of my favorite. I learned two Flower Sets, one from Uncle Righteousness and the other from Sifu Choe Hoong Choy. I combined them into one to be taught at the Winter Camp.
I believe the set from Sifu Choe Hoong Choy was the specialty of Ng Mui, the most senior of the Shaolin Elders whom even Pak Mei feared.
Anyone wondering how Ng Mui could be so powerful, yet feminine, could have an answer from a pattern of the Flower Set, “Double Worshiping of the Buddha”.
Many years ago on the Blue Mountain, I woke up in the middle of the night to practice this pattern. The force generated was so powerful that it sounded like an earthquake.
I taught “Worshiping of the Buddha” at Saariselka in January 2011. So much force was generated that I had to stop for about half an hour, and the course participants in their T-shirts went out into the Arctic Circle to enjoy the wintry cold.
The secret of “Double Worshiping of the Buddha” will be taught at the coming Winter Camp.\
Set learning memory rules vol 2 - Dragon form as a bedtime story
Once upon a time in the North there was a Dragon ...
Embraced as he Emerges.
The Second brother who asks the way from the Swimming dragon.
The same Green dragon that jumps against the Seamonsters.
Comets chase the moon while the Old dragon squats.
Panthers rush as the Dragon rises and Tiger leaps Fiercely forward.
Their Power joined with the Second brothers chop.
Move of leafs reveals the Black and Fierce tigers, Shooting zen and Golden dragon circulating the pillar!
A White crane flaps to Bar the Striking bell sounds.
The Swimming dragons and Dark phoenixes strike like Cannons.
The White Cranes soar towards heights, yet turn…
to see the Dark dragons and Angry leopards Power joined with the Second brother.
The Dragon Form Set is from Northern Shaolin. I exchanged this set from my siheng in Sifu Ho Fatt Nam's school with the 36-pattern Tiger-Crane Set. My siheng learned this set from another Northern Shaolin master.
A special pattern in this set is "Dragon Manifests Miraculous Power". It is similar to the dragon force in Dragon Strength. When I explode force with this set on Michael Chow, both Michael Chow and Emiko, who was present then, were amazed. You can have a view of an impromptu video at http://shaolin.org/video-clips/gener...-force02a.html
Dear Mirva,
thank you for your Dragon poem. How about the Monkey?
Unfortunately the above link does not work. I apologize for the inconvenience.
However, those attending the Glory of Kungfu course will experience the manifestation of Dragon power first hand.
It will be a long one I assume! Teasing pigs will definetly be mentioned This weekend will be all about breaking down the set into an apple bite sized pieces.
