In a narrow specific sense , in the Indian mystical tradition , Siddhis refer to the supernatural powers of Siddhas ( mystical adepts ) but similar abilities were also written or spoken about in other regions of the world at different times or in other mystical traditions .
In a loose broader sense , some of you may have experienced ( at the giving or receiving end ) something similar to “Siddhis” but perhaps in a less dramatic ( in quality and/or quality ) way or indirect slower way or in a metaphorical way : I will give a few examples below to clarify .
Less dramatic ( but not necessarily less important ) way: Sifu has revived a dead fish by transmitting chi to it ; on one hand , this would be more dramatic compared to someone reviving a dying plant by watering it but on the other hand less dramatic compared to Christ’s miracle of having revived Lazarus from the dead .
Indirect slower way : Someone pawns a precious stone in exchange for cash to buy bread to feed hungry children is a slower indirect process ( ie involves more steps and takes more time ) compared to a high level spiritual cultivator who transforms stones directly instantaneously into bread loaves to feed the crowd.
For all Shaolin Wahnam Members : To be born human , wholesome , in favorable conditions and to have heard about-be interested in-having direct contact with willing teacher-be initiated into-benefitted from The Shaolin Arts is a metaphoric miracle by itself , perhaps no less miraculous then the literal miracles told in Sifu’s autobiography which most of us are familiar with.
If you wish , please share your experience about Siddhis ( either in the specific or broadest sense ) here that have benefitted yourselves or others and that may potentially benefit deserving others in the future.
I will start with some of my experiences .
Less dramatic way (experience at the giving end) : as a medical doctor , I have revived at least one patient whose breathing and heartbeat has stopped by using standard CPR ( cardiopulmonary resuscitation ).
Indirect slower way ( experience at the receiving end ) : whilst intensely thinking about and wishing (over a period of months ) to learn holistic kungfu from a genuine high level master , I “chanced” upon an article about Sifu in an old newspaper that was used as grocery wrapper in the kitchen of my rented house in Kuala Lumpur (KL) …..on phoning the printed contact number , was “fortunate” to hear from Sifu that he will be coming to KL soon to teach some students and he agreed upon my request to meet up for a chat which happened in an uptown KL café and despite my brashness , subsequently initiated me into Shaolin Chi Kung & Kungfu over 2 days in one-to-one sessions in October 1997…..and am still learning and benefitting from Sifu to this day , 20 years later .
Miraculous experience at the receiving end : On at least one occasion while driving with Sifu and Roseline , an imminent high speed head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle due to an error on my part was inexplicably directly averted due to Sifu’s connected spiritual benevolence.
I suppose I'll go next. I was greatly disturbed by something that happened about two years ago, which shook my faith in the power of qigong to heal emotional problems.
I sat in prayer and meditation in front of my tapestry of Kwan Shi Yin Pu Sa, and after several months of nearly daily requests, she gave me an answer. Through that answer, my life has turned around, and I directly understand a lot more about how energy works than I did before.
Needless to say, Kwan Shi Yin Pu Sa now has her own room in my house.
Lately, my Qigong practice has evolved spontaneously to Kundalini practice. The internal force I develop seems to later get absorbed into what the Yogic texts call the Sushumna channel (or the Rush channel as Sigung calls it).
It's amazing to feel the difference between internal force around the meridians and the energy in the Rush channel. The Rush channel energy is intoxicatingly blissful and ecstatic. This also leads me to believe that there is no difference between Chi and Kundalini, only the expression of the energy.
I believe that our psychic powers and abilities are housed within the Rush channel. The third eye, for example, is technically on the same plane as the Rush channel. Once energy can clear the blockages where the chakras reside within the channel, you clear not only past karma but also start developing Siddhis. I believe that our senior instructors with psychic abilities have achieved this unconsciously to a degree.
Experience:
I attended a Shaktipat initiation last year to explore Kundalini yoga. When I first signed up online, I was blasted with ecstatic energy I have never felt before. Later, I learned that this was what Kundalini felt like. I was confused by this phenomena, but other students all experienced the same thing when signing up although their experiences had different flavors. Later, I learned that it was the will of the Guru of the school that made it so.
Experience 2:
One day during meditation, I spontaneously performed the Khechari Mudra. This position is basically rolling the tongue all the way back past the uvula and up the nasal cavity (although I did not reach that far). This is quite a distance from what we in Qigong are normally used to (tongue touching the top of the back of the front teeth).
Again - lots of bliss and seeing bright lights in my head. Now, whenever my tongue rolls back to touch the soft palate / uvula, powerful energy rises up my spine to my third eye. In fact, maintaining this position for 30 seconds or more becomes overtraining for me. I feel lots of blissful energy but then I crash and become tired later.
Not sure if this is a Siddhi, but it's an experience I did not expect to have!!
Best wishes,
Stephen

Interesting thread, especially since for myself the concept of Siddhis is a new one.
However, after reading your opening posts I'm still a bit confused as to what a Siddhi actually is.
Is it a power, a miraculous occurrence, a mundane occurrence, or possibly all of the above? And if yes, what is are the unique features that characterize a Siddhi? How is a Siddhi defined?

Respectfully,
Siddhis ( a Sanskrit and Hindi noun ) are conventionally defined as " The 18 miraculous supernatural powers obtained by means of yoga practice " .....as listed in my 1 st post .
The objective of starting this thread is to generate lively sharings in our oft times quiet discussion forum ....hence forum members with any other wonderful experiences ( in the widest sense of the word ) not listed under the conventional 18 Siddhis are welcome to share their story here
This discussion reminds me of a time I was practicing One Finger Shooting Zen on the beach below my house about five years ago.
As I recall, it was about 8 in the morning in the late Fall, shortly before the sun rose above the mountains to the East. I was a minute or two into One Finger Shooting Zen, enjoying my practice, fully in the moment. At the edge of my awareness I heard a fast skiff (boat) coming from the West, near shore. In retrospect, I would say it was traveling about 30 miles per hour, or 50 kilometers per hour—which is very fast for a boat close to shore. It was a neighbor's skiff, with one of their kids riding on the bow.
It's not unusual to have skiffs and boat run past our house, but what was unusual was how close and how fast. The skiff was heading right toward the outer edge of a submerged reef that lies about 100 yards/meters in front of our house. I was in a Chi Kung state of mind, not thinking about the path of the skiff, just happily practicing One Finger Shooting Zen.
If you can imagine the line of the skiff heading strait toward the submerged reef, and then imagine a line coming strait out from my right finger in One Finger Shooting Zen, the intersection of these lines was perhaps 10 yards/meters out from the submerged reef. As my right finger went out and I made the herr-it sound, the bow of the skiff met this intersecting line and at the exact same moment the driver of the skiff turned hard to starboard, avoiding the reef by just feet. All were safe, and I continued my practice with little thought about what had just happened.
After I finished my practice I realized the potential severity of consequences had my neighbor not turned at the last split second. My neighbor and his kids would have been seriously injured or killed if their skiff hit the reef at that speed. I don't know the exact distance the skiff avoided the reef, but I can say with confidence that it was very small. Even a half second more would have been too late to turn or drop speed.
Perhaps this was a one in a billion chance coincidence? Perhaps the driver of the skiff realized the danger at the exact same moment my right finger extended and herr-it came from my mouth? For obvious reasons, I never mentioned this story to my neighbor, and I don't know if he was driving, one of his kids, or friends. I don't know if a second person grabbed the steering wheel at the important moment, or if it was a sudden realization on the part of the driver.
I mentioned this story to Sifu and Anthony Sihing over dinner in Las Vegas a few days after it happened. Sifu simply called it divine intervention.
The strong energy you feel on the way to siddhis is the real fruit of the performance. The siddhi itself is not the fruit. The fruit is the purification in our nervous system that facilitates our enlightenment, and that is of much greater value than any power we might develop as a consequence. If you are moving the energy toward siddhi without prerequisite practices and a balanced routine, it can be uncomfortable, too much for the nervous system in its current condition. It could also create karmic aberrations in your nervous system if too much attention is going for a particular siddhi. In other words, there is a cost for developing a particular power at the expense of our overall enlightenment.
