Yes. Painting and drawing is a good idea which I overlooked when compiling the poll, and which is a good write-in idea for ballots, as is musical interpretation.

      Cheers,

Well, we've got six votes for video, and three for short story, so it looks likely the next contest will be a Video contest.

          Stay tuned.

              Dear Emiko Sije, and family,

I like the idea of a video contest, as so many things could make their way into it. Andrew Sidai, for example, wanted to eat Mango Sticky Rice, and now he can, and make a video of, or around it, and voila! Singers can make videos of singing, martial artists can makes videos of sets, or sequences; essayists can read their work aloud aloud; cooks can give a demonstration. Artists could give a studio tour. The possibilities are literally, endless, from the magnificent to the mundane. Heck, the most popular non-music video on youtube is Charley Bit My Finger
of a little boy biting his brother's finger. 839,000,000 views! (It is adorable; watch it)

One potential drawback is that people may be intimidated by the idea of making a video, or not have the prowess. Yet, with the widespread technology of the smart phone, most of which are equipped with a video camera, most forum members should be able to submit a video.

Perhaps if we go ahead with the video contest, some talented and experienced individual might give a tutorial. Perhaps, (dare I say it?) a video tutorial on how to make a video.

That's my two cents for now.

              Happily,

              Charles

                Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Would you be interested in starting another contest? I would love to do a Recipe-Cooking contest so I can learn how to cook delicious dishes from our International Family.

I would love to learn, for example, how to cook Curry but never really had the chance. I also love soups. Specially in winter time!

Even if there isn't really a contest on recipe-cooking it would be amazing to learn about other cuisines from this beloved family.

It would be wonderful to hear your thoughts on this.

With Love, Care and Shaolin Salute,

                Santi
