Tim I think that last one is designed for fighting a swarm of mosquitoes

I think this is a very great performance, with great skill by this master.
A set is just that, a set. A collection of martial arts techniques.

If you're able to put force behind the techniques in this, train them in one by one patterns/ techniques,
burying your toes into the ground for example like in this video, with force...

then I wouldn't say this is designed to fight a swarm of mosquitos

I particularly love kung fu videos from China before the founding of the People's Republic, i.e. from the time roughly between 1930 - 1940. Of even older times it's hard to get a video (where the quality is actually good enought to see something )

My favourite traditional empty handed kung fu video:

Master Shi Guo Song's version here is a lot softer and more flowing than the typical northern shaolin.
I like the music and background ambience too

                      My favourite weapons set:

The only sword set that I think would be able to rival Shaolin Wahnam's Travelling Dragon Sword, and I think there are many similarities in the set as well. Dragon's well/spring/pond/lake sword translates into LongQuan Jian, I believe it is referring to the town in China where the set originated, which is well known for sword crafting and pottery.

He uses quite a long sword, that's interesting.

What is beauty in a kung fu peformance? The following aspects can be beautiful:

                        1. Form

                        2. Speed/Flow

                        3. Power (internal or external)

                        4. Application (if with partner)

                        5. Expression (i.e. focus, one-pointed mind, zen-mode)
