The other day at the bookstore I found this book and it is fascinating, profound and provoking - in short: well worth reading.
When China rules the World by Martin Jacques.http://www.amazon.co.uk/When-China-R...dp/0140276041/
He argues that China's ascension will not only be economical, but also cultural. And that we might see a different type of modernity, which is not Western.
I am just at the beginning of the book, but so far I find the argumentation well researched and a good challenge to some of the ideas I have as a Westerner.
