Personally I think it is not very respectful to others when you stand in the middle of a road and cars have to drive around you. Imho it shows more of a strong ego, rather than a spiritual development. But that's my opinion, they might have their reasons.

I too was about to have this impression in the beginning, but then after reading the messge at the end of the video, I realized there wouldn't be a better place to deliver it. To me, it felt unique and inspiring

The two hallmarks of Shaolin teachings: Wisdom and Compassion

Dear Mahmood,
What message is it at the end of the video?
(currently, as I have rather limited and slow internet connection; I have not seen the video until the end)
Thanks,
Joko

I understand the mixed responses about the practice on the street. Sure, there are beautiful places to do it and there is no need to disturb others with your practice. In my humble opinion meditation shouldn´t be a show or something that disturbs other people while they do their daily routine.
Obviously I don´t know what the intention of the video is, yet I find it inspiring!
From my own experience I can highly recommend to sit or stand still in a busy place for some time (it doent´s always have to be the whole day though ). It also doesn´t have to be some special ritual. Just stand for some breaths and relax and feel the atmosphere, while you go shopping or walking or while you are in a hurry
Usually people say they have difficulties to relax in busy places.
For me it is much easier to relax in a crowded places than somewhere else. This is the reason I suppose: there is a lot of yang (the busy crowd) and it is easy to create some yin (calm the mind). I also get a smell of the real world. It´s nice
Very fluent forms as well. It´s quite interesting that using forms he doesn´t hinder anyone
Thank you for the posts!
Enjoy the day!
Engage and maintain joyful practice!
May all of you get the best benefits from what you do.
He stands in the middle of the road for most of the video then at the end it has a series of messages, like:
"I'm in a hurry"
"I don't want to miss the meeting"
"I must earn more money"
"I need to..."
"I want to..."
"I have to..."
Thanks, Alex, for providing the messages at the end of the video.
