  • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

For today, please find another beautiful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"Building internal force in any correct way will enhance life in all aspects. No matter what you do -- whether internally like overcoming harmful viruses and regulating your metabolic systems, or externally like reading a book or playing games -- you will do better." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

    • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another inspiring quote from Sifu:

"The difference between a matter of course and a matter of fact can be illustrated by an analogy. If you drive along an expressway from Madrid to Barcelona, arriving at Barcelona is a matter of course. As a matter of fact you may not arrive if, for example, you stop on the way or drive to somewhere else." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

      • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another wonderful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"My approach to marketing Zen courses and courses to business executives is very simple. Just do it, i.e.just market our courses to business executives. This is Zen. You don't have to waste time studying key points about marketing or acquiring knowledge about creating videos, etc.

Just market our Zen courses and courses to business executives. If in the process of marketing the courses, you have to study key points about marketing or acquiring knowledge about creating videos, then do so. Otherwise, don't waste your time and effort.

Suppose marketing our courses is A, and other tasks like studying key points, creating videos, etc are B, C, D, E and F.

You do A. If in the process of doing A, you also need to do B and C, then you do A,B and C. Don't waste your time and effort doing B, C, D, E, F and any other tasks first, then do A." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

        • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another beautiful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"Not many people realise that there are many different types of chi kung of various levels of attainment. Most of these chi kung types may not be powerful enough to overcome illness. Indeed the great majority of chi kung practitioners today merely perform external chi kung forms, without getting the benefits of chi kung. This is a fact not many people may know. This is a fact one must realise when considering that chi kung can overcome illness." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

          • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another wonderful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"Your problems with your father and your sister can be easily solved -- I repeat: easily solved -- if you just follow my advice.

Whenever you speak to your father or your sister, say some nice things that they like to hear. Don't say things that they don't like to hear, like telling them to live their lives according to your views.

Although they are your father and your sister, it is their lives. Let them live their lives. Don't tell them how to live their lives.

The nice things you say to them must be truthful. For example, tell your sister how cute her baby is, if you find the baby cute. If you don't find the baby cute, tell her that you are happy she has a baby, if you are happy she has a baby. If you are not happy she has a baby, tell her she has a baby while other people may not have babies. All the facts are true.

Tell your father that you are happy he is healthy. If he is sick, tell him that sickness, any sickness, is temporary. It is normal to be healthy." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Please find below another beautiful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"Daily practise the apparently simple exercise of breathing in and out slowly and deeply. At the end of this exercise, close your eyes gently (if you have not closed them earlier), and gently visualize that you are radiating good energy so powerful that - in some mysterious ways which you need not have to know why or how - even if the crooks found you, they could not harm you. Meanwhile, think of good thoughts and do good deeds whenever you can. Good energy is simply incompatible with minds and deeds that are evil." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

In other words, most people hope that things will improve, but they usually find that things do not improve. A minority of people makes changes so that things will improve, and they are happy, successful people." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

                • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another inspiring quote from Sifu:

"In our sparring practice, some of our students sometimes know beforehand what attacks their sparring partners would use. This is because their mind is so calm and clear that they can pick up the mental impulses of their sparring partners. When they enter a room full of people, without looking at the people, they can tell who are friendly and who are hostile. It is not that my students attempt to read their thoughts. They just pick up the mental vibrations of these people.

In the past, kungfu masters could catch arrows shot at them. This was physically impossible. By the time they saw the arrows with their eyes, it would be too late to move their hands to catch them. Then, how did they accomplish the feat. They sensed the arrows with their mind, and they moved in energy flow, which was almost at the speed of thought." -Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

                  • Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family,

Please find below another beautiful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"When we are in the midst of a chi kung exercise or as a result of consistent chi kung training, our conditions change, and hence reality also changes accordingly. You can, for example, sense another person's energy, which you could not do before. When these changes are not far from what you and most people experience in everyday conditions, you have no difficulty accepting them. When these changes are far fetch, such as re-living your past lives or seeing into your internal organs, you become skeptical; you question whether they are your imagination.

But as you progress and discover that the different manifestations of reality experienced at different levels of consciousness, are also experienced by other people training the same or similar arts, you become more sure of yourself. And when you discover that great masters also teach the same things as recorded in their great works, your confidence grows and finally disperses your doubt. Eventually the big irony will dawn upon you that the great majority of ordinary people who say spiritualists are deluded, are themselves actually living in delusion." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Please find below another inspiring quote from Sifu:

"The anxious and panicky feeling is due to a lack of real fighting experience. An effective way to overcome it is to gently sink the chi to the dan tian. This, in fact, was what past masters did in real fighting, and what we do in our sparring practice. At the start of the fight, past masters sank their chi to their dan tian as they assumed their poise patterns.

If the anxious or panicky feeling still exists, then breathe out gently a few times while getting into the "four preparations". These methods will enable a combatant to be relaxed and focused so that he can give his best in combat." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Thank you for your kind words dear Sidai. Much appreciated. I have personally used this advice in different situations and it is fantastic!

Please find below another wonderful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"If a particular paradigm does not work, it is only sensible to try another paradigm, especially one that has proven to have worked for centuries. For example, one way to view your previous health problem is to call it “cervical disc degeneration”. The trouble is that when your problem is viewed in this way, we come to a dead-end because conventional Western doctors have no way to reverse the degeneration of your cervical disc.

The situation changes instantly when we view it using the traditional Chinese medical paradigm. There may be different ways to label your symptoms, but basically your health problem was caused by yin-yang disharmony. This makes a big difference. When we view your problem as cervical disc degeneration, it becomes “incurable” because there is no way to revert the degeneration. But when we view it as yin-yang disharmony, it becomes curable because there are many ways to restore yin-yang harmony." - Granmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Smile from the heart and ask God to give you strength to live the day in a way He is proud of you. At night before you go to bed, thank Him for the strength He has given you in the morning.

If you do this every day, in three months you will find yourself filled with the strength of God, and will be ready to face any situations in life." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

"One of the most wonderful discoveries in my chi kung training was that if we open our heart we will be happy – irrespective of our financial and social positions. We do this every time we practice our chi kung and kungfu – we smile from our heart. It is a very cost-effective way to make us happy.

It may be useful for some of our students to know that when we smile from our heart, our heart opens. When our heart opens, we become happy. It is not the other way round. It is not that we become happy, then our heart opens." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Please find below another beautiful and inspiring quote from Sifu:

"The training of the sword will give you physical and mental agility in daily life. Physical agility is not merely doing a physical task elegantly, and then hesitating to complete the intended process. For example, it is not merely finishing your cup of tea and saying good-bye to your friend, but stopping at his door and continuing to chat, then stopping at his gate and again stopping at your parked car. It means elegantly completing the whole process of leaving, including finishing your cup of tea, saying good-bye, walking past his door and gate, and driving off in your car, with your friend smiling and feeling happy about your visit.

Often, many people lack mental agility in their daily life. When they are asked a question, their mind becomes stuck, or they start thinking of other things, or thinking of the questions instead of answering it. Our training in Shaolin Wahnam gives us mental agility, and the training of the sword enhances it. We are trained to do the right thing spontaneously and elegantly." - Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit
