  • Getting through.

As for getting through to me your right you probably wont because i havent seen anything to make me go, damn they are right i should shut up now. The same way i havent got through to anyone here.
Do you wonder why you’re not getting through? Do you wonder why, even after reading all of your posts, people still choose Shaolin Wahnam? Do you wonder why, even with all the criticism from “guests” like you, from people on Bullshido, and from other people, that course enrollment in Shaolin Wahnam is at an all-time high?

The best answers that “guests” like you can come up with are that we are blind, that we are brainwashed, or that Shaolin Wahnam is a cult. But those answers don't convince anyone except people who already think like you do. Meanwhile, our forum is full of detailed, thoughtful, intelligent posts to explain why we’re not blind, why we're not brainwashed, and why we're not a cult. But you ignore all of this and continue to call us a cult, like a child with his fingers in his ears.

By the way, if we’re a cult, why do we allow members to learn from other masters? Many traditional martial arts schools forbid this and require students to be 100% loyal. We don’t. Our students are free (in many ways). They are free to read this entire thread and form their own opinions. They are free to learn from other masters. They are free to learn from you. And yet, time and again, thousands and thousands freely choose to learn from us, even after learning from other reputable masters. Many students, like myself, choose to drop everything else in order to commit to Shaolin Wahnam. Why is that? Again, the only answer you can offer is that we are blind, and the “discussion” (if you can call it that) continues in circles.

So whilst ignorance is bliss, why should i even try to burst peoples perfect bubble ?
See, like this. You continue in circles, completely ignoring the discussion. You say to us, “you are blind!” and then people respond by listing their teachers, their previous experience, and the benefits they have gained from Shaolin Wahnam, thus countering your argument and demonstrating that they are not choosing blindly. Then you retort with “you’re in a bubble.” And so on. This kind of behavior is unreasonable, and you aren’t convincing anyone. If anything, you are having the opposite effect.

I don't really expect you to see this because you can't even see your own behavior clearly, but I assure you that thousands of discerning, intelligent people who read this forum find our argument to be more convincing than yours. There are, of course, others who agree with you, like Baguamonk, Xia, and Bong Sau. That's fine. You are entitled to your opinions. But don't think for a minute that just because there are a few dozen or even a few hundred of you on other forums, that your opinions somehow discount the opinions of thousands of other people. Our opinions count too, especially those of us who have actually stepped away from the computer and learned from Shaolin Wahnam. But even those who haven't learned from us can still see the difference between your argument and ours.

ooh i love my chi i love everybody we all get together and feel our chi to do our kung fu patterns with our loving chi lets share our secret techniques of hoeing her field so he can grab my peaches.
    Again, grow up. Seriously.

But no i am not humble or worthy for the graciousness of it.
Do you think that you’ve exhibited humility here? Do you think you've proven that it would be worthwhile to teach you? These are rhetorical questions.

    • Why Shaolin Wahnam is the Cat's Meow

My question still stands though about what you found lacking in goju ryu karate as a system or a style compared to shaolin wahnam.
      • Goju-ryu did not teach me how to generate an internal energy flow. Shaolin Wahnam did.
      • Goju-ryu made my health worse. Shaolin Wahnam saved my life by curing me of clinical depression. It also ended my low-back pain, improved my sex life, and helped me quit smoking.
      • Goju-ryu did not make my classmates any healthier. Shaolin Wahnam has cured my classmates of a wide array of ailments, from herniated discs to diabetes, from sinusitis to endometriosis.
      • Goju-ryu did not make my students any healthier. Shaolin Wahnam has been amazingly effective in helping my students to treat a wide range of issues, from chronic shoulder pain, to migraines, to depression.
      • Goju-ryu did not enable me to feel chi consolidating at dantian. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not give me more energy for daily work and play. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not keep me from getting sick. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not give me greater mental clarity. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not make me a better academic student. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not teach me how to spar using the traditional patterns from my forms. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not teach me any effective methods for cultivating internal force. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not make me a better person. Shaolin Wahnam does.
      • Goju-ryu did not open my heart. Shaolin Wahnam did.
      • Goju-ryu did not teach me how to merge with the cosmos. Shaolin Wahnam does.

      • Hi Antonius

you recall during the course a couple of weeks ago, we were discussing how banning some trolls rather than letting them rant would save you and those reading lots of time? I heartily agreed with you.

But I like this approach much more First make our stance clear, then ban them.

Kin Tama has obviously read many of the recent posts, and has been watching the video clips. Interestingly, it is not only he who is lurking from the sidelines - I see many of our old critics viewing this forum from time to time. Is it curiosity drawing them here, or something else calling out within their hearts? Do they desperately want to believe in health and vitality but don't dare to?

I find it interesting that he wants to see some "amazing" clips but is not interested in beginners' training. I would have thought most people seeking to learn martial arts would like to know what to expect, ie, the training syllabus. So, maybe all he wants is a demonstration of some powers like levitation or jumping over walls, in other words, entertainment. It is like all those people seeking the Mo-Pai - all they want are those super powers to shoot lightning bolts from their hands.

        • It is amazing to see how some people keep on walking with a scarf on their eyes despite clear evidence that they do not see where they are going.

Being authorative with 14 years of martial training and still not being able to adress Masters and their students properly.

Moreover, those people have the nerve to behave like if the whole world owed them something. They say they want to learn, but they are only interested in finding faults and proving others wrong (to boast their ego and only confirm their own experience).

They say that it is fine if we do not want to teach them, yet they shoot venom as soon as we say so.

They think that any Wahnam instructor would gladly open their arms and teach them with a smile because they simply want to. Yet they do not show the slightest mark of respect.

On the other hand, I would be curious to see those same people react if another rude fellow would come and treat them the same way.

But in the end, that doesn't matter.

In their minds, if they wrong someone, it is always someone else's fault.

          • For the person that started this thread and similar guest in future. I think it is clear that students at Shaolin Wahnam are smart intelligent people, capable of making their own decisions and are not blinded and does not need the kind of help being offered here.

If you have the time and energy and want to help. Why not join the police force as a volunteer to help fight crime and make the streets a safer place for people like your sisters and mum.

Why not go to an old peoples home and help out.

Why not take on extra bit of work and use the money to help chartity cases.

Why not work in one of the hundreds of charity organisations to help people who really could do with some extra help.

Which ever road people take I wish them all happiness and to practice being a decent human being.

            Kindest regards

              • Dear Kin Tama

Some people might read your post and think that its admirable your willing "to give us a go". But Shaolin Wahnam's policy is only to teach deserving students. There is no way a student is deserving if on stating they wish to learn they also state they can offer more than our Grandmaster.

Take for example my university degree; if on accepting it Id said I'll do the course but I believe I can offer more than the lecturers are offering then I would have been laughed at, literally! If you don't have the the mental clarity to see this then you've been doing something seriously wrong in your training.

                All the best

                • I've had this post sitting on my computer a few days while I calmed my ire and now that our shiny friend has been banned I'll have to make a few adjustments.
Since I imagine Kin Tama is still out there reading this thread I'd like to humbly suggest that his intention with returning was nothing more than stirring up more trouble. He got all the answers he was looking for from us a long time ago. I believe he was set in his opinion and nothing anyone here had to say could change that. I believe this because you cannot follow up a statement like this:

Also can i please call bullshit on travelling all of se asia and china and challenging high level masters which he defeated, did he challenge sifu wong also and was defeated by his flying rice palm, or was it just that he saw his aura through the internet and paid 1500 dollars for a 3 day course and saw the light ?

                  Its marketing its gimmicks.

Thats all i have seen on the website its a load of begginers going ooh i love my chi i love everybody we all get together and feel our chi to do our kung fu patterns with our loving chi lets share our secret techniques of hoeing her field so he can grab my peaches.

But you see the thing is i dont actually mind, the way i see it shaolin wahnam is just like run of the mill karate for kiddies school, only with a bit of new age hippyness thrown in the mix and a bit of chi. So whilst ignorance is bliss, why should i even try to burst peoples perfect bubble ?
unless you're just trying to stir up trouble. Honestly, I'm really not seeing the politeness, respect, etc. in these words.

I guess I'm lucky because I didn't have to spend years training in less effective arts before I came to Shaolin Wahnam, however, it leaves me little basis of comparison in debates like this. But what I can say for sure is were I to spend one year in a university karate class I doubt very much that I could use my karate patterns to spar with skill levels above and below me. Also I doubt it would cure me of my chronic back pain. Also I doubt it would give me enough internal force to be able to lift and carry 40 kilos when I only weigh 55. Also I doubt it would keep me illness free. Also I doubt it would cure my depression. The list goes on. I might be wrong. Maybe I could get these benefits elsewhere. But you know, I have everything I'll ever need right here so there's really no need to wonder. And if so many other people feel the same way that really should be enough of an answer for Kin Tama.

P.S. If you are still out there Kin, I really do want to thank you, because it was your questioning (albeit impolite) that got me involved in this forum in the first place.

                  • I sincerley hope that when reading our banned friends rude comments I'm not the only one that burst into uncontrollable laughter from; "did he challenge sifu wong also and was defeated by his flying rice palm"

I got this image in my head of grandmaster Wong throwing rice in Kai's face.

I'm terribly sorry if I come across as disrespecting, it is not my intention but i'm practically out of breath laughing. The fact that Andrew in the 2nd post pointed out the alternative way of reading the forum nickname doesnt help!

Failed martial artist, but a promising comedian. This made my day

I'm going to make a fool of myself in public now whenever I think of this.
