    Dear brothers and sisters,

It's great to see so many taking part in the contest. Thank you to Sifu for offering such wonderful prizes.

After an intense and transformational Triple Stretch course with Sifu in Frankfurt in 2012, where Sifu taught us the flow method, I was inspired to write the following lines. I only made a small adjustment for the contest.

just a gentle thought, we flow
increase the speed, the wind will blow
    unleash the power, we shake
    in gratitude we resonate
with every blessing that we give
enjoying more that we may live

    Good luck everyone!

    Best wishes,

    Leo

I am posting the poem bellow on behalf of my student Christine Röösli

      Poem No. 1

Aren’t we all looking for life’s purpose?
As my young life started I stated searching for comfort and LOVE
As I grew older more and more of it got lost
Piece by piece, little by little my big hopes dissolved into shattered dreams
Day by day obscured clouds covered up my path
Step by step my feet lost solid ground
And one by one I became a stranger to myself
One light inside shall show me the way
But what way will it be?
My candle is burning in flickering mode
Will it ever shine bright again?
I walk that edgy line to find the burning fire one day
What is a life’s purpose – if not love?
Maybe I will find comfort – one day!

        Shift

That there is no beauty in purpose
        It is unquestionably true
        What fool would believe
        Once he realizes the change
        Once he realizes the change
        What fool would believe
        It is unquestionably true
That there is no beauty in purpose

          My poem: "Change is Growth"

Thank you Sifu for such a wonderful opportunity and generous prizes, and for stimulating our creativity. :-)

Here is my poetic entry for the contest.

          Change is Growth

          From the infinite, undifferentiated Source,
          The cosmic dance flows forth,
          Countless possibilities made manifest;
          The One experiencing the many
          Experiencing the One.

          Divine grace flows, ever expanding,
          Forever changing, blessing and nourishing.
          From quantum to cosmic,
          Life cycles, transforming and perfecting
          Its exquisite beauty.

          Individually, we choose our journey
          Of love, growth and evolution,
          Savouring life’s rich tapestries
          Until we become One and
          Return to God.

            Why worry;

            It's not real

            Why bother;

            It's not there

            Why be;

            You already are

Live life as joyfully as you can

Ride your life on waves as big as japan

Oh boy as big as japan

                What does that even mean

If you offer me your bowl

I'd fill it with ice cream!

                  A Song and a Dance

                  Finally

                  It happened to me

                  I understand

                  and I feel so free

                  Wordly affairs

still are a part of me

                  But so what

                  because I feel so free

I took all my books to the library

                    threw out all the idols

                    and followed my own imaginary

                    lost in a way

                    but my great master

                    allowed me to stay

who was it that tamed this beast of prey

                    does it even matter

september or the month of may

                    who says im perfect

                    certainly not me

even if it all comes back

                    it all doesn't matter

                    just keep your heart free

                      Catching Immortal Moments

                      Enjoying songs and wine
                      The Immortal way

Oh do I love punching, kicking
and at the same time I sway

                      A kungfu set so rare
a treasure that is ours to bear

God I love this so much
                      catching moments
                      and expressing thoughts

Now let go and feel free
go out, enjoy yourself and be

                        Lovers Leap

A lovers leap we did jump
                        Many bridges we did cross
Upon the mountain we did climb
Your hand in mine and mine in yours.

The mountain top I could never see but with each step you whispered "Trust me".
For every fall you dust me off
the wounds you kissed all forgot.

"Never will I let you go" you told me so
and with each step we soldiered on
Amidst the fog we did stumble guided by her melody:

"Life is full of smiling Hearts
Look no further and you'll See
                        Dance amongst heavens Light
Change your way to set you Free"

Our armoured clothing we did shed and dipped our toes in natures pool
                        The bathing light fully immersed
                        Our hearts entwined
For never more mountains did we climb.
“So I say to you –
This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:”

                        “Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.”

“So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”

                        Thus spoke Buddha.

Another poem from Jude Kessy ( the background story of this poem linked here http://shaolin.org/comments/emanuel.html )

                            PARENTS CHILDREN

Now it is hard to imagine
                            How you scream to disown
                            Caned and bruise these children
Grubby and guilty, wishing they disappear for good
                            In your provoked duty
If one child an unbearable troll
                            Yours was multiplied eleven fold

                            Now still harder to imagine
To see you in your seventies
                            Witness the several occasions
                            Sadness crowding your eyes
Veiled by late evening departure of these over mobile children
Taller, broader, travel a world wider than your horizons
How you wish they come home more often

Though it is the all consuming call
To self consolidate, taken to distant work and long separate
The world whose doors you helped to open
                            and pointed to lofty goals
Hasten dearly would if we could attain the best
What joy if unto this brief life
Were all our noble dreams to crest

                            Nevertheless your firm stand remembered
Along with the imperfect, the odd candour
With loyal belief your God favored
But more than that your duty kept to children
                            whose later turn to wait
Upon every selfless parents wish to live
                            and complete that transient state.

                              the saint and the crazy

                              Finally I can see

What a joke it is all to me

                              no more anger or jealousy

                              from you or mee

if you think this is ridiculously

this poem brings me back you see

                              we try to be

                              we corrupt our minds ourselves

and so we ride the wheel of samsary

                              hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

                              Maybe Ive become crazy

but I see everything and everybody so beautifully !!!!

                              never stop my laughter

                              because it is me

                              who stops it you see!!!!!!

                                Munch munch munching
                                Hungry hungry hungry
                                More more more
                                Never satisfied

Bulging bellies the load is heavy
                                Collapsing devouring into itself
                                Cacooned by it's spinning desires
                                Nowhere to go
                                All appears dormant
                                Hanging from a thread
Forms of once before souped to formlessness
                                Imaginal cells begin their magic
                                Cooking the broth in harmony...

                                Crack open the lid!
                                Burst open your wings!
Reflecting your exquisite array of colours
Flap joys to your tune and spread your beauty
Lighten the hearts this is your destiny

                                ...Ta-da!
“So I say to you –
