God willing I will get a hung gar temple going here, where we are miles from anything including health food or an herbarium. Tularosa is a small town outside of Alamogordo about 13 miles and so I think that's not really very far to get people from there too.
We have lost nearly every original Sifu that brought Kung Fu to America and their first students here are retiring as well. I would like to retire in 20 years or so and therefore I really need to get this going now, so that there will be people who can take it. Nobody wants to be a wandering Quai Chang Cain when they are 70. We envision happiness and someone else making the medicines.
Of the books in the library Kung Fu books are the fewest and are just what are considered canonicals, except for WKK's "Art of Shaolin KF" which I took a chance on hoping there would be fragments that would be really important and not to be forgotten and I was right.
The old canonical books take for granted that the reader will already know the things "between the lines" because they are a student, but that is not always the case and in transmitting things, important things can get left out by human error that are really crucial and I think it's important to preserve a copy of those as well. Not 100 copies written by 100 monks like hunan, but one copy that one monk put put the whole 100 important things in after some organized fashion.
and since I have been living here for a few years with no monks or monastery I thought visiting would help with the loneliness of the secular world. I'm tired of being "the" monk.
But I have a few things to do before I get seriously underway and when I buy the firecrackers, I will let everybody know.
for now I'm going to pretend virtual monastery I have never really done that before?
    thank you for accepting me
