Yes, it can be a real challenge to stand upright, relax and not deliberately think of anything.

              Dear Justin,

do yourself a favour and search for a good master if you are interested in spirituality. Forget about book learning.

                Sifu Benedikt,

                Thank you for the response.

Hypothitically speaking, If you were my master, And everything I have said was proven to be true, where would you begin teaching me?

                  Justin,

Since I was the one to "greet you at the door" so to speak, I feel somewhat responsible for your actions here in our forum/school. Because of that, I feel it is also my responsibility to grab you by the shirt collar and escort you back towards the door.

You have over-stepped many times in the short duration you have been here. I can no longer credit this to your ignorance. You have been boastful, arrogant, and extremely rude. You have spent a good deal of time collecting a vast amount of information. You mashed it all together and think you have mastered it all when you don't understand any of it. Your pseudo-Zen babble is of no interest to us. Our practice allows us to experience Zen!

It is unclear to me if you are so clueless as to not know, or if you were trying to be sly and clever, but you shut all doors and burned all bridges with Shaolin Wahnam when you insinuated that Sifu (Grandmaster Wong) had nothing to teach you. And then only continued to make matters worse as you positioned yourself to be a peer and equal to one of our Sifu's.

Giving you all the benefit of the doubt, assuming ALL of what you claim to experience is true, your level of attainment is that of one of our beginner students during his/her first course. All of what you have mentioned in this thread is basic, foundational experience of us.

If you were to ever be taken as a student by a Shaolin Wahnam Sifu (which would be giantly compassionate at this point) you would start as a fresh beginner, because that is what you are. Your first lesson would be a harsh reminder to not try to be smarter than the teacher. If you learned that, it would benefit you forever.

Since you think, and have the gall to put in writing on OUR SCHOOL FORUM, that our Sifu's have nothing to teach you, I am sure you will gladly leave. I am left to wonder, why are you still here?

                  -Matt

                    Sifu Matt,

I am sorry to hear that.

I had not meant to insinuate your master had nothing to teach me, If so I very dearly appologize.

I had only meant that most of what was listed in the intensive course objectives I felt I have accomplished.

                    Thank everyone for thier time.

                        Dear Technix,

I bet that you'll find a master who is willing to teach you if YOU are willing to seek. Spiritual teachings are not compareable with book learning (like you did in school). The informations you seek for and that you want to add to your brain are useless.

                        Let's keep it simple:

If you are interested in the spiritual path search for a good master. This advice is the best I can give you.

                            Dear Justin,

How can you get knowledge of internal arts, if you have not experienced? You will never know how an apple tastes, unless you eat it.

You can read hundreds of encyclopedia articles and scientific journals and still, you will not have a slightest idea of how it feels, to bite in a wonderful, fresh and juicy apple.

"Sifu says, if I tell you, eat the apple, then eat the apple. Just take it and bite and eat.

I will not tell you, an apple is a fruit and it is usually red and it has white flesh and sometimes the flesh is yellowish. And if you bite in it, you may feel its fragrance and the juice may run down your mouth. I will not explain you that an apple is a fruit that grows on trees and it has some skin that you may peel off with a knife before you want to eat it. However, some people do not peel it but bite in it without peeling it first. I will not tell you that, because it will not help. What I tell you is: Eat the apple."

                            Good luck to you :-)

                              Thank you everyone!

Especially for Sifu Barry who taught me of metta.

I am now learning from the Doa's and can exchange my wei chi for a more grounded and steady chi.

Thank everyone for you concern and help, time and responses.

I do hope one day to find a master to teach me, thank you for the blessings.

                              Peace be with you all!

                              Love,

In our dear Sifu's book " The Art of Chi Kung " in chapter 21 it was quoted by a certain Dr. Pierre Schmidt thus :

" God speaks to the ears of every heart , but it is not every heart that hears Him; nevertheless , he who seeks , finds - sooner or later - and to everyone is given the meeting he deserves "

Later in the same chapter , Sifu referred to Dr.Julian Johnson ( already an accomplished Surgeon , Pilot , Artist and Christian theologian/minister ) who later studied under a Guru .....

The puny ego thinks it gets credit for finding the Guru when actually it is the other way round : the Sifu appears ( and sometimes pulls you out from the mud by your collar ! ) when student is ready for kindergarten . And , mind you , there is a lot of effort and grace before the potential lotus blooms out of the muck and you get your Phd in internal arts !

Below is a link to part of the story of Dr. Johnson ...
                                http://www.scribd.com/doc/30324325/J...aster-in-India
.....i know the above story well because it was one book i researched while searching for a Guru/Sifu more then 20 years ago .

Later i discovered : the student did not find the Master but The Master Caught the student .....hence the saying " The Internal Art is caught but not taught " .

As our Dear Sifu said " The Heart to heart Transmission " is the initiation during an Intensive Chi Kung Course or in any of the courses where he transmits the Three Treasures of Shaolin .
