  • Feeling free in the sunshine :D

    Greetings to everyone !

I wanted to share a most wonderful experience I just had . If someone had told me this a few years ago I would have thought they were insane . And although I just might be a little insane , it was very real .

I just went down to the local park ( complete with dam ) , to practise my Chi Kung with a friend . For a little background , I have been practising Shaolin Cosmos Chi Kung from Sifu's book " The Art Of Chi Kung " for almost 2 years now ( that's an estimate ) , and although I did have some good effects , I was not 100% happy with my training . Last weekend ,I was fortunate enough to attend Sifu's Intensive Chi Kung Course that was held in Cape Town over the weekend . I won't go into detail here ( to avoid the simian-like wrath of a certain moderator )

I practised Pushing Mountains ( my new favorite Chi Kung technique ) and afterwards went into a Chi Flow . It was just fantastic . At first I was just sort of plodding around like a drunk man swaggering this way and that . Then my feet started to slowly rotate me clockwise . At first it was a very slow and gentle movement but before I knew it I was picking up speed until I was hurtling around and around like when a child spins himself dizzy . I was spinning so fast that the sheer momentum caused my arms to spread out like wings . I couldn't have stopped it if I wanted to and believe me I didn't !

I have never felt so free ... so liberated from my fears and worries . I was just beaming with happiness and peace . But could it be I was going faster ? How fast could I possibly spin ? The sheer force that was turning me was now like a tornado . So powerful . Then , I started wondering , how much longer can I even stay standing spinning at this speed , it was like I was going to take off , and just as I thought about my balance I was just thrown right off my feet and I sprawled out onto the grass . I was quite surprised because I have never gone to the ground in a Chi Flow before , but it felt so good that I knew it was a good thing . So there I lay , just smiling like a fool without a care in the world . The sun was warm and I felt as if it was bathing me in it's gentle glow . I never wanted it to end .

After the facial and points massage , I took a lovely walk amongst the trees , acorns crunching underfoot . It was such a special moment for me . I could not believe that for most of my life , I have felt sad and depressed and worried and tensed . What a fool I have been ! Oh well . I have the rest of my life ahead of me

All the best to my brothers and sisters around the world . I know your practise is going well !

    Kevin

          Whirling Dervish

          Nice account Brother.

          Yeeeeee Ha!

Reminds me of those drunken Muslims, the whirling dervishes, the Sufis.

          Still,
