"It is on attaining Cosmic Reality. Before I wrote Way of the Master, I considered 'In Quest of Cosmic Reality my masterpiece"

    Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit
    23 December 2019, Sungai Petani

'In Quest of Cosmic Reality' arrived in Divine timing. It was the last question I asked directly that unfolded. Asking Sifu, to direct me to a teacher to further my practice in Buddhism.
Little did I know that the Greatest Teacher was 'still holding my hand' all along and I was being prepared for what I Am yet to become! '
Awakening the Faith in Mahayana' by Asvaghosha has reawakened my faith in the Bodhisattva Way.

Thank you so much Sifu for the transmission and to Kuan Yin Bodhisattva for hearing my cries and to Sigung and all the Past Masters who have been encouraging me along.

Chan/Zen 'Flashes' arrived when Sifu entered Parinirvana. I had been on a pilgrimage. There are no words that can truly convey the experiences but when I was pushed out of hiding...the Universe spoke:

    Re-Awakening the Faith

The empty cup poured that day
    Sifu Blues arrived.
The Sherpa appeared pointing to a new mountain,
but I yearned for the familiar beads.

Mani stones walked along with me,
    Sowing their seeds.

    Despondent.
I grew weary of the 5 doors.

    Zen slap!

    The Tree fell!

    Shaken to the Karmic Bones.
Wake up sermon bellowing in my ears!

    Wake up!
    Wake up!
    Wake up!

    White wall. I lept.

Birds singing, the butterfly flapped its wings...

    ...Sifu arrived Home!

    Restless nights gave way to Dawn and familiar delights were savoured again;
    Ice-cream and strawberries!
    Nasi goreng!

Rainforests of Malaysia knocked on my door!

    Where was I ?!

    Trickery my eyes revealed!

    Foolish I fell asleep again.
    Weeping.
What's the purpose of it all?!

    Lightening Struck...in the hearth!
    Roaring Thunders...didn't you hear!?

    The Masters Way showered memories,
a forgotten dream I had put to rest.

    #Chan Flashes#

    'The Diamond-Lotus Smiled in Breaths.
Pure Land Blossomed its Dew Drops'

    Birthless-Deathless;
the last time I saw you I saw me!
Cycles I wish to cease !

    Why am I still here?!

    "Study the Great Way!"

    "One Heart
    Two Gates
    Three Bigs
    Four Faiths
    Five Movements"

    I asked the way.

    "Even Bodhisattvas cry!"

I recalled the vow where a 'Thousand Arms' expressed the Myriad I's.

    There's only 'One' of me!

    #Chan Flashes#

    Two horses neighed

    "Practice! Practice! Practice!"

    "...Now Let Go"

    Five Geese called at Dawn...

    "Its Time!"

    Swifts circled;
    Gate
    Gate
    Paragate
    Parasamgate
    Gone
    Gone
    Gond beyond Gone Altogether beyond...

    The Bodhisattva Way

...May we all Go Beyond together and reunite in Sifu's Homeland.

May we transmit The Way with Smiling Hearts and rejoice in our legacy

It is a blessing to pick up the staff and begin as a 'student' again.

    OM MANI PADME HUM

May we continue sharing our journeys together and sharing our direct experiences.

“So I say to you –
This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:”

    “Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.”

“So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”

    Thus spoke Buddha.

      Dear Parveen,

At the local Zen monastery there's a hall dedicated to Bodhidharma, which is to the left of the main shrine dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha. On the back wall are all the woodblock print images in the order of the Zen lineage starting from the Buddha, to Kasyapa, Ananda, up to Bodhidharma and the last image is Hui Neng, the sixth patriarch. I took a picture of Asvagosha, author of Awakening of Faith in Mahayana (大乘起信論), who is the 12th master in the Zen lineage.

      Sincerely,

      Mark

"Then how could chi kung overcome diseases where the cause is unknown or when there is no cure? The question is actually incorrect. The expressions "the cause is unknown" and "there is no cure" are applicable only in the Western medical paradigm. The expressions no longer hold true in the chi kung paradigm. In the chi kung paradigm the cause is known, and there is a cure."

        Dear Mark

My heart blossomed seeing the image of Asvaghosha. It's been a special day with divine alignments whilst 'studying' the treatise.

How auspicious that you are so close to the Zen Monastery! What is its name?

I was looking for a Zen temple that had the direct Chan lineage to Mahakasyapa! So thank you so much for sharing the photos and your post today.

Warm wishes to you and all your family,
        Parveen
