  • Christmas Meal in Scotland

    Dear all,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Christmas meal in Edinburgh is coming up once again. Last time was a magical night with the centre of Edinburgh brought to a virtual standstill, stunningly transformed into a scene reminiscent of a beautiful picture postcard.

I will be returning to Edinburgh scant days before the celebration, so to help everything run smoothly for the organisers, please note your interest here if you are interested in, or planning on, attending.

I may venture from the isolation of Stirling to the bright lights of Edinburgh for such a celebration.

      Possible Attendance

It is now looking fairly likely that my good lady and I may be able to make it, but we have yet to finalise arrangements.

It might be best to put us down as a strong provisional booking.

Has a date been discussed yet?
This would be a deciding factor to our situation.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon,

      Cymon and Lydia

        Dear All

We have booked a table for Monday 12Th December 7.30pm.

Please could everyone planning to attend reply on this thread so we can confirm numbers.

The venue is very nice with excellent food. A few of us have been before and are friendly with the Chef (always useful for those awkward fly in soup moments).

I'll put the menu on this thread shortly.

        Very best wishes

Did you mean the twelfth, Jamie? Is Sifu not in Australia then?

          Many thanks,
          Alasdair.

              Dear all,

Sorry to say that alas Lydia and I shall not be able to make it as commitments to our exams in Jan and financial constraints dont allow us to do so.

We wish you all an excellent Christmas and an even better new year.

              Also.
Jamie, Sifu will return on thursday the 15th and not the 11th. I booked his flights for him last friday.

              Best wishes and much warmth,

              your brother,

              Cy.
