Dear Molly, thank you for the insight of proper posture in front of a qigong and kung fu master.
The crisscross style is similar to half lotus with the legs. My apologies for not being very clear to begin with.

I'm glad you enjoyed the blog post. Yes, standing with your hands behind your back is definitely an appropriate posture in front of a qigong or Kungfu master. Also is sitting in a crisscross bad also? I tend to sit like that often.
