This thread is for us to share our experiences of attending the Advanced Chi Kung Course.

Over the last few days we have all made history, having attained Small Universe and Big Universe in just 3 days. Of course, all of us have done a lot of training in the past to lay the foundations to this achievement, but even so we have achieved in 3 days what would require at least 6 months of specialised training.

I'm sure we all realise that without Sigung's incredible teaching skill this attainment would not have been possible (in fact, the reason he has never offered this course before is that only now he is confident in his ability to transmit the skill), but we can still be very proud - the good student is one of the 3 required components in achieving the result.

I will post a description of my own experiences later, but for now I attach a group photo from the course.

Thank you Sigung. Although these words alone seem so small, you know what I mean in my heart.

At first when i heard about the course i was a little apprehensive , i thought is this really true, is it possible to achieve in 3 days what the masters in the past realised in 10 years but in the first 45 mins of the course i knew it was not only possible but i was certian i would realise it and sure enough thanks to Sigungs amazing abilites he has managed to transmit this incredible art to us , today im a different person im sure other brothers and sisters will agree with me , from the deepest part of my soul thank you Sigung......... my Path just got a little shorter

As I write this post, I am not sure where I am going to find the correct words to describe the past three days of the Small and Big Universe courses with Sifu.

We have just experienced the deepest and most precious gift from a Sifu/Sigung who clearly loves us so much. He has transmitted, so generously to us, what has, once again been a life changing experience for everybody who attended the course.

Amazingly and excitedly everybody attained the small Universe on the FIRST DAY! I am sure that this has to be an historical record.

By day three every person who attended, had also attained the big Universe.

My experience of the small Universe was an awareness of a vast amount of chi moving up and down the du and ren meridians. It was extremely powerful, yet the experience was so peaceful and gentle. Sifu's instructions were very very simple and once we followed exactly what he said the experiences were exquisite!

During the last session, I was a pulse pulsating ever so gently with the universe, no breathing involved. Hard to describe, but I am sure that my other brothers and sisters have had the same experience and will post as soon as they arrive home.

Before this session, as Sifu introduced the Big Universe, the feeling of chi flowing through the meridians was also very powerful and majestic. The expansion, the power, the cleansing, the peace and exquisitness of it all was profoundly beautiful.

Sifu, thank you for again for this wonderful gift. Our words will probably never do justice to what we have attained through your wonderful transmission, but our appreciation is deeply felt and sincerely from our hearts. Mile Bhuiochas.

Message from Sigung

I have been asked by Sigung to covey his thanks to all the course participants for the opportunity to teach this wonderful course.

This course is one of two best and most rewarding courses that he has taught in 30 years. Just to put things into perspective, the other one was a very special course on Blue Mountain a few years ago that was greatly honoured by Bodhisattva Guan Yin's visit and blessing.

One down, two to go

Attaining Small Universe was one of my 3 long term training objectives, so for me personally this is a major milestone. How to put the experience into words?

I have attained Small Universe. I have attained Big Universe. How blessed and fortunate am I?

I was asked to describe my experiences, which is something I rarely do (words are difficult to find and also the experiences are very personal to me). Here goes, though:

Unlike a lot of my family, I don't have much sensitivity to energy, so usually I perceive very little. It took me nearly two months of regular classes to get my first chi-flow (when everyone else around me managed it in a few days), it took me nearly 3 years of regular practice before I really started feeling my own energy. I mention this in case someone is similar and is feeling worried and unhappy about this - don't be, it's just how you are and it means nothing in itself.

How do I know I achieved the result? I just do. I can feel my Small Universe flow, I can even roughly tell how wide the energy stream is. As I mentioned above, it's a pretty weird feeling for me, as I am used to feeling almost nothing. I can also feel my Big Universe flow, as gentle as it is at the moment (just because I have the flow, doesn't mean I have a lot of energy going around it yet - no shortcuts to doing lots of Golden Bridge ).

During the first day I felt a column of energy rise up my back (diffusing in between my shoulder-blades) but it took me until the second day to feel the Small Universe flow. I am still aware of it now.

During the first day I also had another Dantian Breathing experience (the feeling of my entire abdomen/lower-back area filling up and emptying of air as my 'normal' breathing almost stopped for several minutes). I have gone into Dantian Breathing several times in the past, but this was the first time I felt it so clearly (usually I can just feel the external movement that it causes).

On the third day I was aware of my Big Universe flow. I am still aware of it now.

It was all so simple really, I just followed Sigung's instructions and I got the result. Not much more to say.

Hello Everybody,

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!

It is going to be a recurrent theme of this thread that we find it difficult to put words to our experiences over the last few days. It’s even more difficult to find the words to thank Sifu for his teachings.

All I can say is that I found the course to be pure bliss on many levels. My Small Universe, of which I was lucky enough to achieve a real breakthrough some years ago, has been refined, improved and magnified immensely. The radiating sun from Baihui and shining moon from Huiyin also filled me with wonder and awe.

As if that weren’t more than enough, Sifu’s methodology for achieving the Big Universe, in both its manifestations is nothing short of incredible. As I said during the course, the phrase “Simple Direct and Effective” has been taken to a new level.

Thanks to all my sisters and brothers who attended the course. It was delightful spending time with you. Special thanks to Chun Nga for driving us around in his van and to Wei Foong for her attentive and perfect organisation.

Wonderful, there are so many success stories within 3 days! A success that reflects on sifu's "elegant" methods of instruction and the very committed students.

Really, it is your good karma to have attended and i hope i shall also have the good karma to so in the near future.

Don't worry. We're putting the Small Universe to good use. Last night was Kai's birthday, and we stayed up until 2:30AM drinking and celebrating. Of course, we had done the same thing the previous night, celebrating the course itself (or just celebrating life?). Each morning, I still got up at 7AM to train. Only a few hours of sleep, but I still wake up feeling fresh, even after a night of celebrating! I could get used to this.

The few times I've noticed myself tired or unhappy since the course have been quickly solved by breathing once.
