  • 'Stencils For Kwoon'

    Dear Shaolin Family,

Please can anyone help me find the Chinese characters for 'Compassion' and 'Wisdom'?

    Best Wishes,

    Jamie

    Compassion "慈悲"

    Wisdom "明智" or "智慧"

    I hope this helps,

    Sincerely,

    Ray

Any other suggestions from my seniors are welcome.

      Jamie!

I found the posts with the big characters in the Miscellaneous section. Many thanks to Michael Chow Siheng, a Scholar Warrior.

"Then how could chi kung overcome diseases where the cause is unknown or when there is no cure? The question is actually incorrect. The expressions "the cause is unknown" and "there is no cure" are applicable only in the Western medical paradigm. The expressions no longer hold true in the chi kung paradigm. In the chi kung paradigm the cause is known, and there is a cure."

        Dear Jamie,

Ray and Sifu Mark have given excellent and correct suggestions. I really appreciate their kind input!

If I may, I would also like to give my suggestion. If I am not mistaken, you can use one character to represent Compassion and one character for Wisdom:

        Wisdom:

        Compassion:

I've often seen "Wisdom and Compassion" represented as:

        智悲

        I hope that helps.

        Best wishes,
        Mike

          Dear Ray, Mark and Mike,

I'm sorry I did not see your generous replies before.
I've just seen and read them now, so will get to work on the stencils.

          Many Thanks,

          Jamie
