    Dear Shaolin Wahnam Family

Damian wish you all the best and success with Sabah 2009. For anyone wishing to go an Intensive course with Sifu I would strongly recommend Sabah. I have been there twice in the last two years and has been amazing. Everyone is together for the entire course in a wonderful location. The spirit and welcome of the Kissey family is second to none.

    Jump at this opportunity.

    Best wishes

          For those going to Sabah

I had a wonderful time in Sabah last month. The hospitality of the Kissey’s made it special. I have some comments and advice that some may find useful.

First, if you can afford it, stay at the Magellen Sutera in KK. It is heaven. http://www.suteraharbour.com/v2/magellan/ From here you can easily book and depart to a nearby island for a day of snorkeling and fun. The resort would cost $700 in Hawaii but is a fraction of that in Borneo. It has it all and one would never have to leave because it has it all. Wonderful pools including an Olympic lap pool, beaches, a Marina, wonderful restaurants, a frequent show of Malaysian Dance and everything else. If you can only afford one day there, do it. Also, there is plenty of grass where you can practice OFZ and Tiger Cleanses Claws and no one will mind. You could move over to Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu to save a few bucks and it is also very, very nice.

Make sure you take a day to visit Lok Kawi Wildlife Park just outside of KK. It was a rubber plantation way back when and now gives you a good taste of the wildlife of Borneo and what a jungle is like. I loved my day there. Oh, don’t carry any kind of food or drink into the Aviary. I was attacked by a large beaked bird for my drink!!!

On the Mountain be sure to visit the Canopy walk. Also, you may want to see the largest flower in the world, the Rafflesia. It can grow to a meter in diameter. If it is in bloom it may be viewed near the Canopy walk.

Bring a nice hat and sunscreen because the sun is strong in Borneo. Have at least one nice shirt so that when you dine with Sifu you are presentable. For the Kung Fu course bring plenty of change of clothes so that you can wear fresh clothes for your training partners benefit.

For those with iPhones, you can use Skype on it whenever you find a WIFI network. It worked fine for me in Borneo.

If I have more thoughts I will post them.

          Enjoy your trip!

            Dear Damian Siheng,

My student, Haruko Ishihara, has registered for the Intensive Chi Kung Course, and she told me how kind and generous you have been to her via the email exchange on how to get to Sabah and what is available there.

Haruko is excited about meeting and studying with her Sigung, and also about meeting you and Sije Rosaline for the first time.

Thank you for your hospitality. Please pass on my warmest regards to Sije Rosaline also.

            Best wishes,

Antonio. Enjoy Sabah. I know you will.

"Then how could chi kung overcome diseases where the cause is unknown or when there is no cure? The question is actually incorrect. The expressions "the cause is unknown" and "there is no cure" are applicable only in the Western medical paradigm. The expressions no longer hold true in the chi kung paradigm. In the chi kung paradigm the cause is known, and there is a cure."
